Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa are back for a new season of Flip or Flop. The HGTV duo started the show when they were married and despite divorcing, they continue to film together. Earlier this year it was reported there was an incident on the set between the former couple and fans are curious to see if it makes it on the show. After Haack shared a preview for the premiere of the reality series, viewers expressed how excited they are about seeing them back together.
What are fans saying about the new season of ‘Flip or Flop’?
Haack surprised her fans announced that the new season of Flip or Flop was dropping earlier than expected. The show had a “special early premiere” on Thursday, Dec. 2 on HGTV. To celebrate the occasion, the interior designer shared a promo for the new season of the show and fans reacted with excitement. Many of Haack’s followers said that they loved seeing the former couple continuing to work together, while others remembered the scandal that happened earlier this year.
“You two are a powerhouse team,” a fan replied.
“Love your screaming and you two are awesome in what you do. A power team. Love the show. Thank you for working together,” a follower added.
“The chemistry is still outstanding since day 1,” an Instagram user noted.
“I want to watch, but Tarek is so awkward now, it’s cringy. Ever since you two split, he tries way too hard and it’s hard for me to watch. But I still love seeing your designs so I will anyway!” another fan said.
“Really love that you stayed business partners and co-parents,” another follower mentioned.
“I hope we get to see Tarek blow up like the drama queen that he is,” another Instagram user commented.
What happened between the ‘Flip or Flop’ stars?
The new season of Flip or Flop was met with a few setbacks during the filming of the show. A report alleged that El Moussa went on a verbal tirade against his co-star and former wife. TMZ reported in July 2021 that the house flipper “lost his cool” on Haack screaming nasty things at her.
“Look at me, look at me, look at me. It’s called winning,” El Moussa allegedly told Haack.
It was also alleged that El Moussa said that his fiancée at the time, Heather Rae Young, was “hotter and richer” than Haack. He reportedly also called the interior designer a “washed-up loser.”
A source confirmed the altercation to People shortly after with the source saying, “They did get into a disagreement. Tarek lashed out and he’s super remorseful. They’re exes who share a history and children and a workplace, but outside of co-parenting, they’re not friends.”
Since the disagreement between the former couple, El Moussa has married Rae Young. The couple’s wedding will be televised in a special airing on HGTV. Meanwhile, Haack got engaged to her boyfriend realtor Joshua Hall. They have made public when they will get married but the couple has been spending a lot of time together in Tennessee, where Haack recently bought a home.
