This season of ‘Floribama Shore’ has Gus Smyrnios very active on Twitter

Things haven’t been the same for Smyrnios since his falling out with Jeremiah Buoni. The two formed a brother-like bond during the early seasons of Floribama Shore. But after Smyrnios moved in with Buoni and his brother, things started to turn sour.

Since then, Smyrnios has often taken to social media to defend himself. From what his roommates say about him to the way fans react to Floribama Shore episodes, Smyrnios often uses Twitter as a place to vent

“Didn’t think I still had the video did you Jeremiah since you lied saying you didn’t throw my stuff out before I made it home to pack my own stuff of the house I paid rent at,” Smyrnios tweeted when season 4 premiered. “Don’t ever say you called me family and meant it liar.”

Gus Smyrnios’ Instagram is a another place to vent about ‘Floribama Shore’ frustrations

Smyrnios has never shied away from sharing his thoughts and opinions on being a reality TV star. When he’s not tweeting about the show, Smyrnios is using Instagram to talk about it.

“When y’all asked why I get so stressed in the house, imagine having this many people in front of you all day every day and night for months straight waiting for you to f*ck up,” Smyrnios published on his Instagram Stories. “Especially going in in a mentally bad spot knowing they would pry at me for it to get me to break on camera. Y’all could never understand! And I still choose to stay true to me despite the hate I get.”

Some Floribama Shore fans are genuinely concerned for Smyrnios’ mental health. Others think he’s in the wrong line of work

Some ‘Floribama Shore’ fans are ‘sick of Gus’

Floribama Shore fans dissected what Smyrnios shared on his Instagram Stories in a discussion thread on Reddit. “But he’s not the only one on the show and not the only one going through something,” one Reddit user commented. “Nilsa just lost her dad AND she’s pregnant. I’m so sick of Gus I can’t handle him at the point. It’s always about him.”

Some fans think if filming the show is “too much for him mentally and emotionally,” Smyrnios should step down. Many agree, saying he chose a life in the reality TV spotlight.

Gus Smyrnios remains close with his roommates from the show

Regardless of what some fans have to say about him, Smyrnios has formed bonds with his castmates. “Family no matter what,” he captioned a photo of himself with Codi Butts and Kirk Medas on Instagram. “I appreciate y’all boys, y’all know this blood runs deep on the show and in real life.”

When Smyrnios ran away out of frustration for a portion of season 4, his roommates were naturally concerned about him. Upon his return, Smyrnios apologized, but there still seems to be some lingering tension in the house. Fans will have to tune in to Floribama Shore Thursdays on MTV to determine how the rest of the reason plays out.
