Crawley was the runner-up at the end of Galavis’ season. However, she called him out before she left. There was a rumor that he said something offensive to her on their date.

“I thought I knew what kind of man you are,” Crawley said to him at the final rose ceremony. The hairstylist walked away and said “I lost respect for you because I’ll tell you what I thought what kind of man you were. What you just made me go through I would never want my children having a father like you.”

Galavis picked Nikki Ferrell, but he still refused to say that he loved her on After the Finale Rose. They later broke up and Ferrell said they did say it to each other.

“He did, absolutely,” Ferrell said according to E! News. “There was a point where we said we loved each other, like a normal relationship.”

Galavis tweeted about Crawley being the star of ‘The Bachelorette’

Galavis shared his reaction to the news that Crawley will be the new star on Twitter. “For THOSE asking me about @Clare_Crawley as the NEW Bachelorette, I believe she is PERFECT for it,” he wrote. “She DESERVES unconditional LOVE and a family.”

Crawley is 38 years old. He later shared his reaction to the cast of the season. “I just SAW the GUYS for @Clare_Crawley Bachelorette season and its gonna be INTERESTING seeing HER get hit on by KIDS on their 20s,” he tweeted. “I think this MIGHT be the 3rd SEASON Im [sic] gonna watch.”

A fan accused the former reality star of being jealous. He replied, “Jealous? I just see it FASCINATING.” Crawley then tweeted, “And yet here you are, older than 99% of them and still cant [sic] practice compassion and kindness.”

He admitted he wonders what could have been with her

The former reality star talked to Life & Style about the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. He thinks Crawley will have a different perspective after filming her own season.

“Roles are reversed now and she will understand how hard it is to decide between the last three,” Galavis said. “Who knows? She might see things from my perspective for once.”

He claims he’s happy that she was picked for the role. “She has been looking for love for some time and she totally deserves it,” he said. Galavis does think it will be a challenge.

“Every once in a while, I think of what could have been if I chose her instead of Nikki, but that’s life,” he admitted. “You put your heart out there hoping to find ‘The One’ and the reality is sometimes it just doesn’t work out and people get hurt,” he said.

Things didn’t work out with Crawley and it ended badly. He addressed that. “With Clare, it was one of the hardest decisions I had to make for sure. Now, some time has passed and looking back, I could have handled that and a few other moments better,” he admitted.
