In addition to acting, Union also earns money as a producer. Her production credits include L.A.’s Finest, Breaking In, Being Mary Jane, Almost Christmas, and With This Ring. Union also earns money from her haircare line, called Flawless, which she launched in 2017.

The actress told Allure she created the hair product line so she could offer women with textured hair better options:

Through my time in Hollywood, I have been in a thousand different situations where the people who work in glam just had no idea how to deal with textured hair. I would get on set and they’d be like, ‘Why doesn’t your hair look like it did in the picture?’ Meanwhile I just showed up like I was told to, with clean hair fresh from the shower. But the stylists on set had no idea how to do my hair from start to finish. So, they’d do things like spray an alcohol-based product in my hair before flatironing it. I became this weird guinea pig where they would try to make it work with whatever products they had.
