Are Garrett Yrigoyen and Becca Kufrin on the rocks? On Instagram, Yrigoyen joked that he had a talk with Mother Teresa, and his post came just two days after Kufrin admitted she is unsure about her relationship with him as they work through their differences.

Garrett Yrigoyen published an Instagram post in support of law enforcement

On June 4, Yrigoyen caused quite a stir on social media when he voiced his support for law enforcement amid the Black Lives Matter protests.

“I’ve been pretty tore up the past week about everything going on. I’ve listened, learned, helped, supported, and grown. With so many friends and family in law enforcement I couldn’t sit back and not support them and the hundreds of thousands of men and women of all races that represent this Thin Blue Line as well,” Yrigoyen wrote on Instagram.

He continued, “There have been over 300 injured, shot, or killed in just one week. They are suffering the consequences over an act they didn’t commit. They continue to put in overtime away from their families, stay silent while being threatened, hated, and assaulted… Remember when they put on the badge they’re still humans, with raw emotion, the more brutality they face the more on edge they become, they make mistakes, they have compassion, and no matter how terrible they are treated or whatever negative is said to them, they still show up for us when we need them!”

Becca Kufrin does not agree with her fiancé’s views

Rachel Lindsay and Kufrin released an episode of the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast on June 9. During the podcast, they discussed Black Lives Matter, diversity in the Bachelor franchise, and Yrigoyen’s Instagram post. Kufrin admitted that she did not have the same views as her fiancé.

“Garrett is my fiancé and I love him and to his core, I believe that he is a good person. What he posted … I don’t align with and I don’t agree with,” said Kufrin. “I don’t think he meant it in a malicious way, I do think it was tone deaf and it was the wrong time and message and sentiment… I’m trying to get him to see the bigger picture.”

In a new episode of Bachelor Happy Hour released on June 16, Kufrin admitted she did not know where things stood with Yrigoyen and they were trying to work through their differences.

“I want to say to our listeners out there — because I’m sure many will hear this back and wonder and ask and have opinions — for those who are curious about my relationship with Garrett at this point, all I can say right now is I don’t know,” she said. “I can’t give anything more than that. It’s something that we are trying to work through and discuss and do work on at home at this time and that’s where the work will remain and that’s really the best can give you at this point.”

Garrett Yrigoyen posted a Mother Teresa quote on Instagram

A couple days after Kufrin’s podcast episode, Yrigoyen posted a photo of himself on the phone. In the caption, he joked that he had a conversation with Mother Teresa.

“I just got off the phone with Mother T. She wanted me to share this one with you all today… ‘People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. FORGIVE THEM ANYWAY. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. BE KIND ANYWAY. If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. SUCCEED ANYWAY. If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. BE HONEST AND SINCERE ANYWAY. What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. CREATE ANYWAY. If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. BE HAPPY ANYWAY. The good you do today, will often be forgotten. DO GOOD ANYWAY. Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. GIVE YOUR BEST ANYWAY. In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.’ – Mother Theresa,” Yrigoyen captioned the photo.
