Bryan Craig played Morgan Corinthos on ‘General Hospital’

Craig has the distinction of being the first actor to portray a teen/young adult version of the character. He first debuted in the role in 2013. Craig remained on the show as a main character until Morgan was seemingly killed off the show in 2018.

The character was rapidly-aged from a preteen to 19 when Craig first debuted in the role. As a part of Morgan’s reintroduction, it is revealed that he is with girlfriend Kiki Jerome and her mother, Ava Jerome. Morgan ended up being targeted by a gambling ring. He is left for dead before his brother, Michael Corinthos, saves him. Morgan ends up moving in with Michael and soon Kiki joins them. This results in a love triangle almost starting, although Michael and Kiki think that they may be related. Morgan actually learns that they aren’t related. He keeps the secret to himself, knowing that this would damage his relationship with Kiki. He and Kiki end up getting married while hh keeps the secret from them.

It is eventually revealed that Morgan knew about Kiki’s father the whole time and everything is upended. Morgan begins sleeping with Kiki’s mother, Ava. Morgan turns against Sonny and begins to work with Ava and her brother, Julian Jerome. Ava ends up getting pregnant and doesn’t know if the child is Sonny’s or Morgan’s, but it turns out to be Sonny’s. The character is later diagnosed with bipolar disorder soon after he holds Julian and Alexis Davis as gunpoint after he thinks Julian had Sonny shot. In order to keep Morgan from Kiki, Ava switches his medicine. A few months later, he steals Julian’s car and it explodes, killing him in the process. In reality, Olivia Jerome planted the bomb as she was trying to kill her brother, Julian.

The actor expresses interest in coming back to daytime television

Post-General Hospital, Craig had a recurring role in The CW’s short-lived military drama, Valor. He also starred in ABC’s short-lived primetime soap opera, Grand Hotel and had a series regular role.

Now, Craig has said that he wants to return to soaps. Recently, e tweeted all four soaps on the air right now, stating, “I’m ready to work and up for grabs so who’s it gonna be?@GeneralHospital @YRInsider @BandB_CBS @nbcdays.”

In a follow-up statement to Soaps.com, Craig went in-depth more and said that though he tweeted all four soaps, there is one that he wants to be on in particular. “I’m ready to go back to my roots for awhile [sic] in these tough times and as I would love it to be my home of GH [.] I’m very open to exploring the other shows of the [d]aytime world.” Craig also clarified to the outlet that he had not been in discussions with any of the soaps about being on the shows.

Fans would love seeing Craig back as Morgan on General Hospital, so perhaps before 2020 wraps, the actor could be back in Port Charles once again.
