‘General Hospital’: Here’s the Proof That [SPOILER] Is Likely Not Dead
A major death occurred on General Hospital to kick the week off, but many fans are not convinced. Given a recent interview by the character’s actor and general theories about what’s going on, it is safe to say that fans shouldn’t be upset and the death is fake.

Taggert died during Monday’s episode
Marcus Taggert, who returned to the show after 17 years via original portrayer Réal Andrews. was shot on the show late last week. The character was shot after saving his daughter, Trina Robinson, and her friend, Cameron Webber.
The teens had been taken by goons affiliated with Cyrus Renault, who has a vendetta in Port Charles, primarily against Taggert and Jordan Ashford.
In saving the teens he was shot, and underwent surgery in Monday’s episode. He later apparently dies from a blood clot, but it doesn’t seem convincing that the character could be gone so soon. His final conversation was with his rival Sonny Corinthos, and he asked him to take care of Trina.
The character can’t be dead because this isn’t a short stint
The main reason why we know Taggert isn’t dead is that this isn’t a short return for the show for Andrews, he’s back for a long haul.
The actor was also just interviewed by Soap Opera Digest recently and spoke about his future on the show, so surely all of this wouldn’t be going on and he is set to be killed.
He even spoke candidly about his return and the overwhelmingly positive response from fans. The actor said, “I was just blown away by the response. It was really humbling and powerful. I don’t walk around and say, ‘Hey, I was Taggert.’ I’m not that guy. I’m a big advocate of, as amazing as it was to be Taggert 17 years ago, that’s in the past, man. I always say, ‘Let’s make history instead of read history.’ To get that kind of support from people I don’t even know was just amazing, seriously. I knew, at that time, I was going to be on the show, but obviously I couldn’t say anything. I was like, ‘Oh, man, they’re going to be excited when I come back!’”
Fans also aren’t convinced Taggert is dead and have theories
It doesn’t seem necessary to completely break down why Taggert is still alive, because fans have their own theories already.
Many think that Sonny is involved in helping him frame his death. “I think he is in protective custody with Curtis, Jordan, Laura, and maybe Jason and Sonny protecting him. There is no way GH is dumb enough to bring back Taggert only to kill him off. I think that both Liz & Epiphany helped them too. Both nurses have done that before for others,” said one fan.
A lot of viewers made it clear that it would just be a bad move in general to bring Andrews back just to have him leave.
“You better NOT have just killed off Marcus frickin Taggert. You better hope his death was faked or I swear to Lucifer!! We did not just get @realandrews back, just to let him leave again! This BETTER BE A FAKED DEATH,” said one person.
