McCoy admitted that she didn’t completely understand all how big of a deal Burton’s return was for General Hospital fans.

She told Soaps in Depth, “For three months, everybody on social media was so excited about Steve coming back. I’d never met him. I didn’t know what to expect. I didn’t know what was happening! My mom was going crazy, because she loved him growing up and I was like, ‘What is going on?’”

Now, it seems like McCoy couldn’t imagine not working with the daytime soap opera veteran.

On working with Burton, the actress added, “We totally connected immediately. Every scene that we have is a very important scene. Plus, Steve brings out the best in me. He makes me the best actor I can be, every time.”
