Chase and Brook Lynn became closer in recent months

Chase and Brook Lynn’s first notable interaction was in early 2020 when he arrested her during a bar fight. She also accidentally hit him with a bottle. Despite the two of them being on different sides of the law, Chase and Brook Lynn ended up developing a friendship.

Since then, the two of them have been there for each other. For example, in the fall of 2020, when Brook Lynn needed a place to stay, Chase let her crash at his apartment.

In June 2021, Chase became wheelchair-bound after battling a mysterious illness. He moved into the Quartermaine Mansion, where his then-wife, Willow Tate (Katelyn MacMullen), and Brook Lynn were living.

Chase and Brook Lynn have been growing closer as they both support each other through their respective difficulties. Many fans believe they could potentially fall in love.

Josh Swickard shares how he feels about the potential romance

In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, Swickard shared that he could see a Chase/Brook Lynn romance in the future.

“If there was a world where they ended up together, I could see it!” Swickard said. “I mean, Amanda and I love hanging out and we’re just good buddies and I think her character and who she is plays very well with Chase, you know? She’s just no-nonsense, no bull, ‘This is how it is,’ and Chase is not, so seeing them together, they play well off each other.”

He added, “I honestly don’t know what the writers have in store, love interest-wise, for Chase, but if they went in that direction, I think that would be awesome!”

However, Swickard also shared that Chase is “at a crossroads” at the moment. At this point, even he is not clear what the future has in store for the character.

“I’m really at a crossroads with the character,” he said. “Is he going to go with Brook Lynn? Is he going to go with someone else? Is he going to try to be single? Is he going to go dark? Is he going to be a really good guy? I don’t know! I genuinely don’t know, and I honestly kind of like that I don’t know.”

Chase and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) were best friends. However, after Michael slept with Willow, the two of them had a falling out.

As for whether they could reconcile, Swickard said, “It’s one of those things that, I mean, you could always say, ‘That shouldn’t have happened until they were in the clear,’ and that’s very true, so I think there would have to be a lot of grace on Chase’s part. But is Chase the kind of guy to give that grace? Maybe!”
