‘General Hospital’ Sneak Peek: Sonny Rewards Mrs. Wu For Her Loyalty, Nina Fears Getting Shut Out Again

General Hospital fans know that staying on Sonny Corinthos’s good side results in rewards. (Getting on his bad side, of course, has terrible consequences.) And on this week’s episodes, Sonny will reward the good Mrs. Wu for her loyalty to the Corinthos clan. Meanwhile, Nina will work overtime to avoid getting excluded from Port Charles society again. But are her efforts too little, too late?

On ‘General Hospital,’ Sonny rewards Mrs. Wu for her loyalty

As Diane goes to check on Carly — who has been through quite a bit over these past few weeks — this week’s General Hospital will feature Carly’s ex, Sonny, paying a visit to Mrs. Wu. Look for the two underworld crime bosses to take a meeting on Monday, Nov. 8.

Now, according to Soaps @ SheKnows, Mrs. Wu will continue to prove to be an ally to the Corinthos clan. After all, Mrs. Wu helped Carly when she needed it most, something that Sonny appreciates more than anything else. And this loyalty will definitely be rewarded. But the tests to Sonny’s mettle are far from over when this meeting is over.

Because on Tuesday, Nov. 9, Sonny will have to deal with what’s being euphemistically called “personal issues,” and, really, where do we begin with that mess?

But are Mrs. Wu’s motives pure?

Mrs. Wu, meanwhile, has a bunch of questions around her, too.

As we previously reported, this week’s General Hospital will feature Sonny feeling ambushed in his meeting with Mrs. Wu. Even if it all works out in the end, you have to wonder if Mrs. Wu’s “loyalty” to the Corinthos clan — and Sonny, himself — has ulterior motives.

“During the week of November 8-12, Sonny will get ready to meet with Mrs. Wu,” we revealed in our report. “It looks like this meeting may happen at Mrs. Wu’s request, but it won’t be quite what it seems. It certainly makes it sound like Sonny will feel rather ambushed. Sonny may expect this to be a one-on-one meeting with Mrs. Wu and realize she brought backup. Just because Mrs. Wu was loyal before doesn’t mean she will be now.”

Meanwhile, Nina hopes to save herself

Nina hasn’t exactly had the welcome mat rolled out for her in Port Charles. And, really, one can understand why that’s so. But this week’s General Hospital will feature Nina trying desperately to save herself in the eyes of the Port Charles elite. In the same breath, too, she’ll be avoiding some old favorite hangouts when they come under new ownership.

You see, Sonny also has a special reward for Phyllis, too, if she’s willing to accept the gift. Of course, she may think Charlie’s Pub is a big of a display of largesse, but she also knows Sonny — and not accepting the gift isn’t an option. But this also means, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, that Nina won’t be running in there anytime soon. “[Nina will] fear she may have to stop frequenting the pub now that it’s under new ownership,” reports the outlet. “However, Sonny and Phyllis should be fine with Nina dining there. As long as Nina avoids run-ins with Carly, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell), and other angry Corinthos family members, she should be fine.”

This week’s General Hospital will definitely be filled with drama.
