This week’s General Hospital will turn its attention to Drew Cain, who is currently going through it, to put it mildly. Now that Drew is back in Port Charles, he has to deal with the fallout of his twin brother, Jason Morgan’s, presumed death. And part of that fallout includes tracking down Louise August. Of course, we know the baby has a very complicated history, to say the least. She’s better known as “Valentin and Brook Lynn’s baby,” and the center of the vast majority of Maxie and Brook Lynn’s drama. Can Drew breathe a little?

[Spoiler alert: Potential spoilers for upcoming episodes of General Hospital are up ahead.]

On ‘General Hospital,’ Maxie is desperate to get her baby girl back

For the longest time, Maxie — the daughter of legendary General Hospital super-couple Frisco and Felicia, mind you — has been desperate to get her baby back. To keep her safe from her crazy baby daddy, Peter August, she’s kept her in hiding with Brook Lynn.

And for a while, everything worked out well. Brook Lynn and Valentin lived together happily raising “Bailey Quartermaine” as their own daughter, and Maxie slept peacefully knowing that her secret was safe with the “happy couple.”

But then, everything took a turn for the worse.

Drew feels she deserves to have that privilege

Let’s just say that everything on General Hospital went the way things on the show normally go — which is to say horribly, horribly wrong. Despite that, Drew still hopes that Maxie and her daughter can be reunited. And he’s going to do whatever it takes to make that happen.

“Maxie deserves to raise her little girl, so Drew will hope to help locate Louise before the trail goes cold for good,” reports Celeb Dirty Laundry. “It looks like Drew and Maxie will have a surprise encounter that brings that promise and leaves Maxie on edge.”

But there’s more to this encounter than meets the eye.

But ultimately, it’s Chase who rescues her

General Hospital spoilers for the next two weeks tease that despite Drew’s best efforts, he won’t be the one to rescue her and return her back to her mother. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Chase — who is starting something with Brook Lynn, or trying to — will do that.

Amazingly, there’s yet another fly in the ointment: Drew doesn’t know that Louise isn’t really “lost” at all. So he’ll be “rescuing” her from Brook Lynn and Chase (the latter being her de facto “baby daddy”), without knowing that it’s a foolhardy venture. Chase, then, may just end up being the one who “rescues” Louise, and delivers her to her real mother.

Now, Maxie still has the issue of her baby daddy, Peter. Though, at the moment, he’s indisposed thanks to Anna Devane picking him up. Does Maxie have any guarantees that he won’t be back? Of course not! Of course, this is all just speculation. We’ll just have to tune in to upcoming episodes of General Hospital to see for sure.
