This is quite a time to be a General Hospital fan. The long-running soap opera seems to be giving a whole new meaning to the term “sweeps week.” Because, apparently, their definition of “sweeps” is to sweep a whole bunch of cast members out of here. Murder, bloodshed, and betrayal are in vast quantities in Port Charles, and you’re definitely going to want to tune in to see what comes next.

[Spoiler alert: Potential spoilers for upcoming episodes of General Hospital are ahead.]

On ‘General Hospital,’ Jason Morgan’s demise seems to be getting closer

Fans of General Hospital already know that Ingo Rademacher’s Jax is off the canvas — permanently. Jax may come back with another actor and a lot of “plastic surgery” as an explanation, but Rademacher is toast as far as the show is concerned. After Nov. 22, he’s done.

It was teased that there would be “one brother down, and one to go” when it came to Jason and Drew. And, based on the spoilers, it just might finally be Jason’s turn to go “down.”

Soaps @ SheKnows spoke directly to the higher-ups at General Hospital about what’s going to happen to Jason Morgan for the week of Nov. 15. And while they were careful not to disclose too much about what will unfold on Cassadine Island, they did seem to imply that Jason’s time on the show was running out.

“Notice how we end with a horrified Britt screaming ‘Jason!’ after a gunshot rings out?” they point out. “Now, it could be that following a struggle over the weapon in question, Peter winds up being shot. But our money is on the bullet in question ripping a hole in one of the black t-shirts that Jason favors over everything else in his wardrobe. (That said, we suspect the character is heading for yet another fake death, as it’s impossible to believe that the soap would actually kill Jason off as opposed to simply sending him off-canvas until a later date.)”

Britt & Obrecht plot Peter’s demise

Jason’s demise isn’t the only one we’ll be talking about on General Hospital. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Britt and Obrecht are working overtime to plot Peter’s demise. And, really, if anyone deserves to take a permanent dirt nap, it’s Peter.

“As for Britt, she’ll tell Liesl that they have to kill Peter if they get the opportunity. Obrecht would love nothing more than to see Peter dead, but she may warn Britt that they have to proceed with caution,” reports the outlet.

We’re of the belief that Peter’s got more than a little bit of life in him. Besides, it wouldn’t be a good sweeps week without the bad guy lasting just a little bit longer than is advisable or necessary.

Meanwhile, elsewhere in Port Charles

In the midst of all the drama and bad vibes at General Hospital, SoapHub reports that this will be the week of some baby news. Sasha is going into labor and will finally have her baby. Meanwhile, Harrison Chase is still digging around trying to get to the bottom of Brook Lynn’s baby story. Can he finally dig up the truth? We’ll just have to tune in to upcoming episodes of General Hospital to find out.
