Constance Towers will return to ‘General Hospital’

The latest General Hospital spoilers from Daytime Confidential tease that Helena Cassadine will soon be making her return to Port Charles. If that’s the case, that means that none other than soap legend — and acting grande madame — Constance Towers will be reprising her role.

Towers, of course, is also a Broadway legend who brought Anna to life in a revival production of The King and I in the 1970s. In addition to playing Helena Cassadine beginning in 1997, she also made her mark as the villainous Clarissa McCandless on the classic soap opera Capitol.

Genie Francis is finally back on the canvas

ABC7 — Eyewitness News has confirmed that after a much-publicized delay, Genie Francis is finally coming back to General Hospital. The outlet confirms that she will once again reprise the role of Laura, which first made her famous all the way back in the 1980s, and her episodes will start airing this week.

“I’ve been very fortunate to have shared my life with a lot of these people here,” Francis said to the outlet while confirming that she’ll be back “just in time for Christmas.”

When last we left Francis, she said she was taking an “extended summer vacation,” and that there was some speculation that she would be back to Port Charles in the fall. But in early November 2021, she began taping her General Hospital episodes. Now, finally, her episodes which feature her as Port Charles’ new mayor will begin airing sometime this week. It will be interesting to see how this soap mainstay will handle her new role as the mayor of a town overrun by warring mafia families.

Kristina Wagner just made a huge announcement

As previously reported, Kristina Wagner — the once and forever Felicia — will be returning to the canvas on General Hospital. At that time, too, Wagner confirmed that she would begin filming on Dec. 1.

Now, Daytime Confidential has confirmed that Wagner has been added to the GH lineup on contract. The outlet confirms that her newfound status with the show was confirmed by her via an Instagram comment, where she said that she was “on contract” with the show. She also said that she was “impressed with the COVID protocols” in place at the show, which many saw as a swipe against the recently-fired Steve Burton and Ingo Rademacher.

The only thing missing from a true legendary lineup would be the return of Jack Wagner as Frisco, who is the other half of the “Frisco and Felicia” super-couple on General Hospital. Hey, Maxie needs both her mother and her father, right?
