Lately, General Hospital fans have been so wrapped up in Sonny’s personal life that they’ve forgotten he’s a crime boss. Of course, that’s all going to come to an end this week. Sonny’s enemies are on the rise, and it could spell trouble for him. And he’s not the only one in Port Charles who has his hands full.

On ‘General Hospital,’ Sonny’s enemies want blood

In the past, General Hospital star Maurice Benard has explained how much he enjoys playing Sonny. What he specifically enjoys is how his character navigates his bipolar disorder (an affliction Benard, himself, has). And this week, he’s going to flex his acting muscle when, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry, his sometime lover Nina will be desperate to get him back on his meds.

And there are more things that Nina sees that Sonny cannot. More specifically, Nina realizes that Sonny’s enemies are out to get him (and he gets a warning from Brick, this week, which confirms Nina’s suspicions). Nina realizes that her man (well, sort of man) needs to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed to face off against those who wish to depose him. And if he doesn’t get back on his meds, he won’t be able to face them.

We’ll have to wait and see how Sonny responds to Nina’s attempts to save his life.

Maxie and Brook Lynn desperately try to keep the baby safe

Meanwhile, according to SoapHub, Brook Lynn gets some news that absolutely terrifies her on the Jan. 19 episode of General Hospital. Naturally, the news has to do with baby Bailey (aka baby Louise). Now, she and Maxie are working overtime to try to keep the little one safe.

“Speaking of drama, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) can feel the walls closing in on her and Maxie Jones’s (Kristen Storms) big secret. Trouble is brewing and it’s causing BLQ to face some rather terrifying fears. Will the decision she and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) make take the pressure off?” asks the outlet, rhetorically.

Brando and Sasha try to navigate life after heartache

And finally, Soaps.com reveals that this is the week Brando and Sasha try to navigate their lives after the unfortunate death of baby Liam on General Hospital. Thus far, the show hasn’t really explored the impact of baby Liam’s death — not since the poor lad actually died during the week of Dec. 12. But, they knew it was an important topic to explore, and the outlet reveals that the grieving parents will each find their own ways to cope with the unthinkable.

Look for Brando to get his anger off in the gym with some sparring lessons, while Sasha tries to find peace at any costs. Those two will be exploring the unthinkable on the Jan. 18 episode of General Hospital, and it will definitely be one you don’t want to miss.
