Logan Huntzberger (Matt Czuchry) is Rory Gilmore’s (Alexis Bledel) wealthy college boyfriend on Gilmore Girls. He has seemingly unlimited funds thanks to the Huntzberger family fortune. Various times throughout the series he subtly, and sometimes not so subtly, shows Rory just how much money he actually has.

1. Rory watches Logan lose $2,000 during a poker game

Long before having an affair on Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, Rory goes to Logan’s dorm for what she thinks is a one-on-one “hang out.” She discovers her future boyfriend’s hosting a poker game.

There’s a hired dealer and a proper poker table. Just seconds after she arrives she watches Logan lose $2,000. When Rory’s shocked at the amount Logan says, “It’s just money.” Then she finds out he’s down $9,000 from the last poker game.

2. Logan loans his car and driver to Rory

Rory wakes up to a phone call from Sookie St. James (Melissa McCarthy) after the poker game goes all night. Sookie tells her her mom, Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham), is reeling after Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) breaks up with her.

When Rory remembers her car is getting serviced, Logan offers her the use of his car and driver to get back to Stars Hollow, Connecticut. What’s more, he has an account with the company. Out of the ordinary for a college student, it’s just another example of Logan’s wealth.

3. Logan buys Rory a Birkin bag

Likely the most expensive gift Rory’s ever received is an Hermès Birkin bag from Logan. She tells him she loves him and Logan jokes that the woman who sold him the purse told him that would happen.

Not knowing the value of the bag — Birkin bags cost anywhere from $12,000 – $200,000 —  Rory says her computer cords will fit perfectly inside. Logan tells her Birkin bags are “a thing” he’d have his sister explain.

To drive home just how expensive the bag is, Rory’s grandmother, Emily Gilmore (Kelly Bishop), who is known for her exquisite taste, is shocked to learn her 21-year-old granddaughter owns “the most beautiful and prestigious handbag in the world.”

4. Logan offers to get Rory 21 cars for her 21st birthday

Rory doesn’t want to make a big deal about her 21st birthday. When Logan asks why she tells him what she and Lorelai have been planning for this particular birthday. They’d be in Atlantic City playing 21 when Rory turns 21. They’d drink martinis and buy 21 things.

Rory’s sad the trip she and her Mom have talked about for years isn’t going to happen. Logan suggests the two of them go to Atlantic City. He even offers to get Rory 21 cars if she wants. Maybe a joke, maybe not, Logan certainly has the funds to get 21 cars for a special night out in Atlantic City.

5. Logan buys Rory a diamond necklace and a diamond bracelet for Valentine’s Day

Logan goes all out on a Valentine’s Day gift for Rory. He doesn’t get her a box of chocolates or flowers. He buys her not one but two pieces of diamond jewelry.

Having already given Rory a Birkin bag just because, there’s no telling how much he spends this time. Another moment that shows just how much money Logan has, he gives one of them to Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) to give to Lorelai as a Valentine’s Day gift.
