‘Home is Where the Eggs Are’ is Molly Yeh’s second book

On Feb. 2, Yeh shared the cover art for her second book, “Home is Where the Eggs Are,” with her Instagram followers.

The television personality shared videos where she revealed details of what fans could look forward to upon the book’s Sept. 2022 release.

“I was looking for something that would echo the homespun, warm, slightly whimsical, super personal stories and recipes that are in this book,” Yeh subsequently explained as she showed off the cover.

However, “it doesn’t come out until Sept. 27th,” Yeh said of the book’s official release date.

Yeh admitted the inspiration for the colorful type on her second book came from “Betty Crocker’s Party Book.”

This 1960 cookbook also had brightly colored hues on its cover.

After that, Yeh showed her fans that located in the center of the book cover is a photograph, taken in her kitchen. There, she is featured making one of her famous hot dishes. The egg shape of the photograph echoes the title.

However, she wants fans to know that despite the title, the book includes recipes for more than just eggs.

Recipes included feature those for breakfast, soups, hot dishes, baked goods, bread, cookies, and drinks.

Moreover, Yeh began documenting her experiences in scrapbooks. She moved to a blog as a college student. There she wrote about the foods she ate, and why she enjoyed certain tastes more than others.

“(Journaling) helped me find my passion for food. I realized that’s all I wanted to journal about … and that snowballed into a career in food,” she said. “It’s been a wonderful, creative outlet.”
