Supermodel Gisele Bündchen is one of the most famous women in her industry. For years, she was the world’s highest paid supermodel, only to recently lose the top spot to Kendall Jenner. Now, though, Bündchen is focused on her family and isn’t doing as much modeling as she used to — but she still works hard to stay in shape. And she has one diet trick that she’s always used to help her stay fit.

Gisele Bündchen is one of the world’s most famous supermodels

For years, nobody had mastered the modeling craft quite like Bündchen. From 2002-2017, she was the highest-paid supermodel in the world, according to Forbes, and she’s amassed a net worth of roughly $400 million. Her career got its start in 1997 when she was chosen to walk in an Alexander McQueen fashion show in London. By 1998, she was appearing in global campaigns for the likes of Versace, Valentino, and Ralph Lauren. And in late 2006, she met Tom Brady, and the two have since become one of the celebrity world’s most well-known power couples.

She and husband Tom Brady stick to very strict diets

Bündchen and NFL quarterback Tom Brady have become known for their extremely healthy lifestyles. The two care a lot about what they put into their bodies, and they eat a very strict, plant-based diet. Bündchen starts her day with lemon water, and she eats a full breakfast before taking on the rest of her day (they do say it’s the most important meal, after all). She reportedly blends herself a green shake, made with spinach, kale, cucumber, and ginger. She also indulges in eggs, avocado, and fresh fruit for breakfast. But it’s one diet trick in particular that reportedly keeps her in such good shape.

Bündchen does intermittent fasting two days per week

Bündchen wrote in her book, “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life,” that she does intermittent fasting two days per week. On those days, she doesn’t eat breakfast and only starts her meals at lunch time, claiming that the body sometimes takes a while to fully digest foods. Intermittent fasting has become a popular tool for those trying to live a healthy lifestyle, and there is some evidence that it’s good for the body, though reviews are still mixed.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, Bündchen typically chooses a salad full of whole, unprocessed foods for lunch or some vegetable soup. For the most part, she sticks to plant-based foods, though she does occasionally eat meat or fish.

She often incorporates yoga and kickboxing into her workouts  

Bündchen’s workout routine also has a lot to do with her overall health. To de-stress, she sticks with yoga, which also helps strengthen and stretch the muscles. For a solid cardiovascular workout, Bündchen does kickboxing. It gets the arms and legs moving while also working the heart.

Bündchen sometimes works out with her husband, too, and it seems to be something that helps build their relationship. She works hard to stay fit, but her quick diet tricks and intense exercise routine are definitely doable.
