Many Grey’s Anatomy fans beg for an episode focused around scrub nurse Bokhee (Kathy C. An). She may only speak on a rare occasion during the show; however, on Instagram, she has the best replies to fans. ‘Grey’s Anatomy’: Who is Bokhee An?
You might not know who Bokhee An is, but if you are a Grey’s Anatomy fan, you have seen her. The older scrub nurse appeared in many surgeries on the long-running medical drama over the 17 seasons of the show. However, she rarely speaks.
Bokhee An is a real scrub nurse in Los Angeles, California. That’s probably the reason she doesn’t have many lines. She helps make the show more authentic but isn’t an actor. When Bokhee says something, it’s always a highlight for fans. Typically she smiles, gives an occasional frown or roll of her eyes at the perfect moment.
The scrub nurse is the only other character who appeared in all 17 seasons of the show, besides the three original cast members. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo), Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), and Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) are the only three remaining characters who have been on Grey’s Anatomy since season 1 besides Bokhee.
Bokhee has an Instagram account
On her Instagram account, Bokhee calls herself “The Little Asian Scrub Nurse” from Grey’s Anatomy. She recently hit 500,000 followers and thanked fans with a special appreciation post. On social media, Bokhee advertises a line of “Queen Bokhee Merchandise, spreads kindness, and makes fans laugh.
“Another one of my boyfriends, but don’t tell anyone,” Bokhee captioned a photo of her and Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt).
Bokhee doesn’t stop at posting on social media. She also replies to fans’ comments and questions. When one viewer asked if she has any other boyfriends, the scrub nurse responded, “too many to count.”
“Who runs the world? BOKHEE,” another fan commented.
“Only six days a week,” Bokhee replied. “Sunday, I rest.”
She doesn’t stop there. Another photo of Bokhee and one of her fellow cast members, Chris Carmack, included the same hysterical comments.
“I don’t kiss and tell,” the scrub nurse replied on Instagram to another fan who asked who her other boyfriends are.
‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Season 17: Will Bokhee speak again?
Viewers constantly beg to see a Grey’s Anatomy episode focused on Bokhee. Since she appeared in so many surgeries, fans believe she knows many secrets.
“I’d pay good money for a single episode in the last season to see her spill all the secrets and gossip she’s heard over the years from being in all the surgeries where they all air their dirty laundry,” one fan wrote on Reddit.
When viewers ask Bokhee for a Grey’s Anatomy episode about her, she doesn’t respond. However, she answers many other questions, so maybe something is coming, and the scrub nurse cannot comment on it.
