Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale Can’t Be in the Same Room Together
From the outside looking in, Gwen Stefani appears to be the picture of happiness. She has an incredible career, she’s a judge on the hit NBC competition series, The Voice, and she’s in an incredible romance with musician Blake Shelton. Unfortunately, there are things from Stefani’s past that are still causing her a great amount of pain — namely her ex-husband, Gavin Rossdale.
Though the pair have been divorced since 2015 and they’ve both moved on, determined to focus on co-parenting their three sons together peacefully, it appears that they still aren’t able to get along. Here’s an inside look into Rossdale and Stefani’s relationship today.
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s marriage was riddled with issues and infidelity
The musicians’ 2002 marriage began on rocky ground. Shortly after they wed, Rossdale discovered that he was his 14-year-old goddaughter’s biological father. His daughter’s mother, Pearl Lowe — had neglected to disclose this information to him.
Obviously something this big shook the foundation of Rossdale’s world and his very new marriage to Stefani. The secrets didn’t stop there though. In 2010, during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show, Courtney Love confessed to sleeping with Rossdale when he and Stefani were together. Obviously, it was humiliating for the No Doubt frontwoman but she chose to move forward in her marriage.

Despite moving on from issues in the past, Stefani and Rossdale’s marriage shattered on February 9, 2015. Stefani discovered that her husband had been having an affair with their nanny, Mindy Mann. “It was the beginning of hell,” she explained in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. “My dreams were shattered. All I wanted my whole life was to have babies, be married, like what my parents have.”
Obviously, there was no coming back from a massive betrayal like that one — especially one that was happening right under your nose. To make matters worse, Mann looked almost identical to Stefani — white blonde hair and all.
Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale still do not get along
Despite the time that has passed since their divorce, it takes a great deal to heal deep-seated wounds and there is still a ton of anger and pain between the former couple. “Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani have challenges getting along,” a source dished to Hollywood Life. “They do their best to get along for the sake of the kids, but they only communicate when they need to for the kids. They have trouble even being in the same room together.”
Thankfully, the former couple has other important things in their respective lives. Stefani just moved in with Shelton and they have a very happy life together, “Blake and Gwen are still in no rush to get married,” the source spilled to HollywoodLife. “They moved in together not too long ago and are very happy in their new home. They’re very content with the status of the relationship and neither feels the need to get married anytime soon, however, nobody would be shocked if they did get engaged soon.”
