Though it is set in the 1880s, the dark comedy has a contemporary sensibility and plays off of the notion that Dickinson was before her time or didn’t belong in that time period. Rapper Wiz Khalifa even appears as Death.

Dickinson is just the latest project in which Steinfeld uses several of the many talents at her disposal.
