‘Handmaids Tale’: How Much Does the Cast Make Per Season

The Handmaids Tale may have come to an end after another crazy season, but that doesn’t mean that the images of red cloaks and white hoods have left our minds at all.

Luckily for us, the show has already been renewed for a fourth season. Which isn’t really surprising, given the massive success of the first three seasons.

But along with success and renewed seasons typically comes big paychecks. So how much is the cast getting paid for the critically acclaimed show?

Elisabeth Moss

We first met Elisabeth Moss when she landed the role of Peggy Olson in Mad Men. But now that she has been playing Offred in Handmaid’s Tale for the past three seasons, all of her other roles have begun to pale in comparison.

Moss is rumored to make $1 million per season of The Handmaid’s Tale.

Max Minghella

Max Minghella may play Nick in The Handmaid’s Tale now, but the British actor has also previously had roles in Richard Gere’s 2005 Bee Season, The Social Network, and The Internship.

Minghella doesn’t earn quite as much as Moss for his role, but his salary is certainly nothing to scoff at. He makes $250,000 per season.

Joseph Fiennes

Joseph Fiennes may not have as big of a role on the show as Moss, but his long list of acting credits has earned him the same salary as her.

Fiennes is best known for his work in Shakespeare in Love and Elizabeth. He also landed a role in Enemy at the Gates. When he first transitioned to television, he appeared in American Horror Story, but his biggest t.v. role to date has been as Fred Waterford in The Handmaid’s Tale.

Ann Dowd

Ann Dowd’s claim to fame may be playing Aunt Lydia on Handmaid’s Tale, but she is no newbie to the acting circuit. She was previously in Marley & Me, Compliance, and Captain Fantastic. It is unknown how much Dowd makes per season of Handmaid’s Tale, but her entire acting career has given her a healthy net worth of $4 million.

Alexis Bledel

Alexis Bledel is one of the biggest names tied to the series. Her character, Emily, originally started out as one of the handmaid’s but has since had one of the most harrowing storylines on the show. Bledel became famous for her role as Rory Gilmore on Gilmore Girls. She also appeared in the films Tuck Everlasting and The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. It’s also unknown how much Bledel makes per season of the Hulu series but her net worth is listed at $9 million.

Yvonne Strahovski

Yvonne Strahovski has been one of the breakout actresses of the show. Her character, Serena Joy Waterford, started out as one of the most hated characters on the show and throughout the seasons has shown that she is more human and relatable than audiences originally thought. The Australian actress previously had roles in Chuck, Dexter, Live Another Day, and The Astronaut Wives Club.

It is unknown how much Strahovski makes per season of the show, but she is currently worth $12 million.

Now that the cast of The Handmaid’s Tale is going into their fourth season of the series, it’s safe to assume that some of those net worths and salaries will be seeing an increase.
