It might seem like no one could ever amount to Beyoncé‘s greatness, but in a new interview, she proves just how relatable she really is.

One of the ways she’s shown us that her way of life isn’t too far off from our own is by opening up about her closest cleaning process.

While many people might assume that Bey holds onto her designer threads for sentimental value, it turns out that she too enjoys decluttering and you’ll love her even more after finding out exactly what she does with those old fashion pieces.

Beyoncé puts her clothes to good use after she wears them

Over the years, Beyoncé has donned some pretty amazing (and expensive) designer pieces.

Whether it was her one of kind Coachella look or her show stopping Lion King premiere gown, the Queen Bey never seems to disappoint when it comes to her fashion.

After more than 25 years in the spotlight, it is obvious that Beyoncé loves clothes and though she has graced us with some iconic looks over the years, she actually doesn’t hold onto outfits for very long.

In an interview with Elle for the magazine’s 2020 cover, Beyoncé answered the Beyhive’s hard hitting questions they asked her via social media. When asked what she does with her clothes once she’s worn them, Beyoncé revealed that, just like many of us, she doesn’t have a problem recycling looks.

“I think it’s important to have great basics that you can wear again and again,” she said, noting that versatility is a huge part of her new IVY PARK x adidas collection aesthetic, which is what inspires her.

Though Bey loves rewearing certain looks, there are a few articles of clothing she doesn’t want collecting dust in her closet. Which is why she frequently donates pieces to charities that “support women getting back on their feet.”

While giving away clothes to the less fortune is something Bey takes pride in, not every piece of clothing she owns goes to charity.

Beyoncé revealed that there are some special pieces she’s holding onto but that’s only because she wants to pass them down to her daughters once they’re older. Just another special way she plans on continuing their mother-daughter bonding moments.

“And I save my special pieces for my daughters!” she shared. Beyoncé then quotes a lyric from her song “Lovehappy”: “I give my daughter my custom dresses, so she gon’ be litty. Vintage pieces by the time she hit the city, yeah-ah!!”

Many people found themselves relating to Bey’s personal struggles

While many of us couldn’t be happier that we can relate to the Queen Bey on a personal level, there is actually a lot to her life than we would’ve expected.

During the interview, the singer opened up about trying to find that work-life balance. Though she’s juggling a million and one things at a time these days, Beyoncé let fans in on how she comes across as controlled even though she’s not.

“I think the most stressful thing for me is balancing work and life. Making sure I am present for my kids—dropping Blue off at school, taking Rumi and Sir to their activities, making time for date nights with my husband, and being home in time to have dinner with my family—all while running a company can be challenging.” she confessed. “Juggling all of those roles can be stressful, but I think that’s life for any working mom.”

While the singer might have ultimate fame and fortune, she is just like the rest of us—trying to figure out life all while struggling to be both present for her family and fully committed to her career.

This new interview with Elle proves that at the end of the day, Beyoncé is just a woman trying to figure life as she goes and though it’s still a work in progress, she’s definitely getting there.
