What time is the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show?

You should expect the show to begin around 8 p.m. or 8:15 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020.

The halftime performance occurs in the middle of the first and second halves of the game, following the first two quarters. It isn’t straightforward to predict an exact starting time due to the extra commercial time.

However, since the game kicks off at 6:30 p.m., the halftime show should begin roughly 90 minutes later.

Who is performing in the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show?

Shakira and Jennifer Lopez will perform in the Super Bowl 54 halftime show in Miami, Florida. This 30 minutes will be the first time either of the two pop singers have performed at the Super Bowl or together for any performance.

“I’ve always wanted to perform at the Super Bowl,” Shakira told ET. “I think it’s like the Holy Grail of the entertainment industry. It’s a sports event, but it has a huge relevance for us artists, and I think it’s going to be fantastic. And, I’m going to be celebrating my birthday with 100 million people. A small party. It’s surreal.”

Shakira is turning 43 the day she performs in the halftime show. The singer is very excited to have a chance to star in Super Bowl 54 finally.

“That night, I want it to be a celebration of who we are,” J. Lo said in an interview with Variety. “All of us, because we’re in this together, I want to bring everybody together in that moment.”

J. Lo is also happy to be apart of the halftime show and plans to join people together with her performance.

Who might guest appear in the Super Bowl 54 halftime show?

Along with J.Lo and Shakira, there are likely going to be two or three acts that join them at some point during the performance. Pitbull seems like the most likely guest star since he is from Miami and has duets with both singers. The star’s team has been in talks with J. Lo and company to help him secure a cameo at the show.

As of right now, Pittbull is performing during the pregame show on Fox at the NFL Tailgate Tropicale. Since we know he will be there in attendance, it won’t be a massive shock to anyone if he joins Shakira and J. Lo on stage during halftime.

“I know a couple of other people very big here that’ll probably make an appearance,” Gloria Estefan told ET.

While the singer will not be performing in the halftime show, she did hint that a few other stars will make appearances. Estefan did not name anyone, but it sounds like it might be one of the celebrities who is already planning to be in attendance.

In addition to Pitbull, other possible guests that fans would love to see include Camila Cabello and Wyclef Jean.

Tune in Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020, at around 8 p.m. ET for the halftime show with Shakira and J. Lo.
