One of the big attractions of the Netflix Korean drama Hospital Playlist is the friendship and comical moments between the main characters. The characters still find time to hang out outside their hectic work lives. Their main form of entertainment is performing as a band they created. The episodes dedicate a whole segment to their performance that often covers popular Korean songs. In episode 10 of Hospital Playlist 2, the characters tried something new and covered a classic rock song by Bon Jovi.

The doctors play in a band called Gongnyong Ridge

Fans of the K-drama are aware that the Lee Ik-Joon (Cho Jung-Seok), Ahn Jeong-Won (Yoo Yeon-Seok), Kim Jun-Wan (Jung Kyung-Ho), Yang Seok-Hyeong (Kim Dae-Myung), and Chae Song-Hwa (Jeon Mi-Do) became friends in college. They now all work as experts in their field at Yulje Medical Center. Despite constantly being on-call and having extended hours, they still make time to perform as a band in Seok-Hyeong’s basement.

Hospital Playlist 2 episode 10 gives more insight into the band. At the beginning of the episode, other hospital doctors sit outside enjoying ice cream and discuss the band. They reveal the band’s name for the first time, Gonyong Ridge. The characters initially started as a hiking club. Jeong-Won likes a particular mountain trail whose name in English means “dinosaur.” But the characters never make it through the challenging trail and instead shifted into becoming a band.

In the first and second seasons of the K-drama, fans learn that the main characters get to pick any song they want for their birthday. It is Ik-Joon’s turn in Hospital Playlist 2 episode 10 and while eating McDonald’s, he tells his friends his choice is “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi. Jeong-Won, Jun-Wan, Seok-Hyeong, and Song-Hwa complain that it is too difficult for them to play.

Further into the episode, Jeong-Won receives a text that the mandatory dress code is “black and chains” The characters certainly did not disappoint in looking like rockstars. They wear leather button-up shirts, leather vests, and even leather pants. They also did not forget the chunky chains. As Ik-Joon takes on lead vocals, fans can not help but be enamored by their cover of the classic rock song.
