Becky G posted a video of Korean snacks while J-Hope was in Los Angeles

While BTS was on hiatus, J-Hope traveled to LA for an official promotion. He did not tell fans what he was doing in LA, and some fans suspected it involved a follow-up to his mixtape, HopeWorld. Then Becky G posted a video from the set of a music video and theories took off.

In the video, Becky G showed a table of snacks. BTS fans noticed the snacks were Korean and realized J-Hope was in LA at the same time as Becky G. From that video and J-Hope’s schedule, fans suspected J-Hope and Becky G were collaborating on a song.

After Becky G posted the video, a fan tweeted, “… HOSEOK IS IN LA AND BECKY G POSTED THIS VIDEO OF KOREAN SNACKS ON HER MV FILMING SET AND SHE ALSO HINTED A SECRET COLLAB WITH BTS. YALL THINK THIS MEANS??”

Rumors of a collaboration between J-Hope and Becky G spread throughout Twitter. The rumors grew even more after J-Hope returned to South Korea wearing his iconic unbuttoned denim jacket. Fans also suspected J-Hope could have traveled to LA to appear on The Masked Singer or So You Think You Can Dance.

“All I know is that the song had hobi feeling different after leaving LA… mans left LA with wearing only a jean jacket DAS IT,” wrote a Twitter user.

J-Hope and Becky G confirmed the collaboration on Sept. 25

On Sept. 25, Becky G tweeted, “Soooo… #BeckyHasAnotherSecret.”

Then J-Hope tweeted, “Hey @iambeckyg, I have a secret, too…#CNS.”

BTS fans rejoiced that their theory about a collaboration was correct. They then immediately began speculating what “CNS” stood for. Fans also called out anyone who said they were wrong for suspecting a collaboration.

“everyone who called me clown, show yourself,” one of the original collaboration theorists tweeted.

“The fact that army’s were able to go off a video of Becky G with Korean snacks as a possible collab with Hoseok but we can never get the hints to BTS’ comebacks in their performances on award shows. We work in weird ways,” wrote a fan on Twitter.

The song is titled ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’

A website called Noise11 reported the song is called “Chicken Noodle Soup.” The website also reported the song drops on Sept. 27. Becky G updated her Twitter bio letting fans know the song does indeed drop on Sept. 27.

Once the song title was announced, BTS fans trended #ChickenNoodleSoup on Twitter. Fans also found out more background information about the song.

“so it’s basically Hoseok’s song talking about his story about dance with Becky G as the feature paying homage to the original Chicken Noodle Soup as it was his early inspiration when he first began dancing….. with 50 dancers of all nationalities in the MV…. BEAUTIFUL,” a fan tweeted.
