How Charlie Hunnam Made ‘Sons Of Anarchy’s’ Jax Teller One Of The Sexiest Characters Of All Time

There is no doubt that Charlie Hunnam had some of the sexiest scenes in the history of television on Kurt Sutter’s biker drama, ‘Sons of Anarchy.’ The actor was never afraid to shed his clothing for the popular series, even if it did bush the boundaries from time to time. Fans, of course, never complained about Hunnam’s willingness to show off his sculpted abs and clearly appreciated the view. While Hunnam has since moved on to the big screens, here is a look at how Hunnam made Jax Teller on of the sexiest TV characters of all-time.

Fans, of course, never complained about Hunnam’s willingness to show off his sculpted abs and clearly appreciated the view. While Hunnam has since moved on to the big screens, here is a look at how Hunnam made Jax Teller one of the sexiest TV characters of all-time.

The master of smirks

By the end of Season 7 of Sons of Anarchy, Hunnam had mastered the art of the smirk. The actor actually had several different smirks in his arsenal, and fans loved every single one of them. This includes his often-used sexy smirk, the dark smile he only used when he wanted to look into your soul, and his understanding yet subtle smirk.

According to Pop Sugar, Hunnam also incorporated other facial expressions into his portrayal of Jax, including a cheeky grin, the occasional wink, and his adorable smile.

Charlie Hunnam goes shirtless

You would be hard-pressed to count how many times Hunnam went shirtless on Sons of Anarchy, even if you narrowed it down to a single season. But the one thing we can say is that Hunnam always looked gorgeous whenever he went bare-chested. The actor’s fitness remained at a high level through the end of the series, which is probably a good thing considering how many times he shed his clothes.

Some of his more memorable shirtless moments include the time he helped Opie (Ryan Hurst) with some backyard chores, when he fought some boxing matches at SAMCRO’s headquarters, and all of the times he took a steamy shower.

Charlie Hunnam’s derriere

In addition to going shirtless, Hunnam was never afraid to show his rear end in front of the cameras. He also had no issues showing it off in front of other cast members. In fact, there are a few scenes where Hunnam is completely buck naked in front of his fellow co-stars, including the time he stood bare in front of Tig (Kim Coates).

Charlie Hunnam, of course, also appeared nude in a few sex scenes with his romantic interest, Tara Knowles (Maggie Siff), who just might be the luckiest woman in the world. Although Hunnam has admitted that sex scenes are not his jam, he clearly did not mind shedding his clothes for Sons of Anarchy.

Jax plays the hero

There were plenty of times in Sons of Anarchy where Jax played the role of the hero and the villain. When it came to saving people, Jax never hesitated to defend those he loved. The perfect example of this is towards the beginning of the show when Tara is having trouble with her ex-boyfriend, who came all the way from Chicago to stalk her.

Jax ultimately intervened and killed Tara’s crazy lover, John Kohn (Jay Karnes), and the couple kept his murder secret to the end. This also marked the first time Jax killed a person on the show, which was significant in itself.

Jax saves Abel

Speaking of family ties, there was nothing more precious to Jax than his family. We saw this on full display in Season 3 of Sons of Anarchy when the Irish kidnapped Jax’s oldest son, Abel. Once Jax confirmed that Abel had left the country, he flew overseas to find his son and bring him back home.

This illustrated the need for Jax to be a good father and renewed his interest to get his sons out of the family business.

It also showed that Jax would go to any length to avenge his family. This took a dark turn later in the series when Jax hunted down Tara’s killer. In fact, he went so far as to murder his own mother after he learned Gemma (Katey Sagal) was the person who killed Tara.

Charlie Hunnam can be seen in all 7 seasons of Sons of Anarchy on Hulu.
