How Did Jaime King and Kyle Newman Meet?

Hart of Dixie actress Jamie King has just joined the list of celebrities who have filed for divorce amid quarantine. Like Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler, and Mary-Kate Olsen and Olivier Sarkozy, it appears that the actress has found her marriage to her soon-to-be ex-husband Kylie Newman, intolerable.

After 13-years of marriage, the 41-year old actress filed for divorce from the Gnome Alone director and unfortunately, it looks like things are going to get very ugly. Though neither King nor Newman has commented on the split just yet, according to the divorce filings, the marriage was in a terrible state.

After marrying in 2007, the actress and director seemed to have a strong marriage. Upon trying to conceive their first child, the White Chicks actress suffered five miscarriages and was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome.

King underwent five rounds of IVF before the couple welcomed their first child, six-year-old James Knight naturally. Four-year-old Leo followed soon after. The Black Summer actress has only had warm and wonderful things to say about her husband previously.

“I think it’s also about each person individually having things that they love,” she told US Weekly in 2018. “When each person individually is learning how to be fulfilled, whether it be through other friendships, through work, through creativity. When you’re fulfilled as a human being, then you’re not just relying on your spouse to give you what it is that you need, which I think is sort of a tendency with a lot of long-term relationships. Ultimately, my husband is my best friend and at the same time my lover, the father of my children, my favorite human in the whole world, And so when you come from a place of fullness, then you’re sharing from a place that’s really sexy and fun and free.”

Jamie King and Kyle Newman’s divorce is going to get ugly

Fans began whispering that something was awry in Newman and King’s marriage amid quarantine when King was seen in LA without her wedding ring. Newman has reportedly been on the family’s Pennsiyvalina farm with the couple’s two sons. The director has shared photos of their father/son swimming and fishing excursions.

However, fans were stunned when King filed for divorce on May 18 asking for a temporary restraining order as “domestic violence prevention petition,” Cosmopolitan is reporting.

King also filed an emergency petition “related to child custody and visitation” but that was “denied without prejudice.” A source is reporting that King is “distraught” amid the judge’s ruling.

This is how Jaime King and Kyle Newman met

King and Newman met on the set of the director’s 2005 movie,  Fanboys. The pair immediately connected. “I don’t know why, but some part of me was instantly connected to him, and I loved him so much,” the actress told InStyle Weddings. “It was intense. I never thought that would happen to me.”

The couple wed on November 23, 2007, at Los Angeles’ Greystone Mansion, and there didn’t seem to be in strife in the marriage prior to this.
