Being a mother is hard enough as it is, but being a mother who is also one of the top performers of this generation just sounds extremely difficult.

For years, many of us have come to know Beyoncé as someone who puts her all into everything she does.

From singing to dancing to acting, Beyoncé continues to remain on top and now that she is a mother of three, many of us can’t help but wonder how exactly she does it all?

Being a hands-on mom and an artist does not come easy for Beyoncé

For years, many of us have been convinced that Beyoncé was just way too perfect to experience the same struggles many of us face.

The singer has been categorized as the definition of perfection and we were once certain things just have and always will come easy to her.

However, after watching Beyoncé’s Netflix documentary Homecoming that was released back in April, we know for a fact now that that is far from true.

In the documentary, the singer opens up about her life as a mother and performer and also admits that trying to balance both is “a lot” proving that at the end of the day, she is a human with hardships and trials just like us.

Most people already know that Beyoncé is the mother of 7-year-old daughter Blue Ivy and 1-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir.

While the Lemonade singer is known for keeping her private life out of the public eye, Beyoncé has been open about her struggle of trying to be a hands-on mother and wife as well as a successful recording artist.

During the Netflix documentary, Bey explained that being a mother along with having a demanding career was extremely hard to balance and still is.

“Just trying to figure out how to balance being a mother of a 6-year-old and of twins that need me and giving myself creatively and physically it is a lot to juggle.”

She added, “It’s not like before when I could rehearse 15 hours straight — I have children, I have a husband. I have to take care of my body.”

Beyoncé has been giving herself a break from performing

Though Beyoncé spent a ton of time preparing to headline Coachella last year, the singer was able to find ways to still be with her kids all while she rehearsed.

“My mind was not there. My mind wanted to be with my children. What people don’t see is the sacrifice. I would dance and go off to the trailer and breastfeed the babies, the days I could I would bring the children,” Beyoncé said in the Homecoming documentary.

Since her Coachella performance, Beyoncé has taken a break from headlining tours to be home with her family.

With six studio albums and seven headlining tours under her belt, the singer hasn’t really had a break.

Now that Beyoncé is a mother of three, we can see that she isn’t as busy as she used to be and is making more time for her family.

Though she recently traveled to a few countries to promote the new live-action remake of The Lion King, we can assume that did not take her from her kids for too long.

Just like many mothers, it is probably still challenging for Beyoncé to find that perfect balance between motherhood and her career but she is continuing to make it work to the best of her ability.
