The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been quite secretive about their expecting bundle of joy, so the name, gender, and due date are quite a mystery to everyone. However, many believe that Baby Sussex will be born some time in April or early May.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also set up a nursery in their new home at Frogmore Cottage. The room reportedly cost £150,000 and was designed by Vicky Charles from Soho Farmhouse with some input from Meghan Markle’s close friend Serena Williams. For this modern couple, the nursery has been painted shades of white and grey instead of traditional gender-coded colors.

Some royal watchers have even been speculating that, given these neutral colors and the size of her bump, perhaps the Duchess of Sussex is actually carrying twins! Either way, it doesn’t seem the palace will be revealing any important information until the big day comes.

Prince Harry has been making sure that their new home is ready

In order for their Meghan Markle and the baby to live comfortably, Prince Harry has been helping to oversee more renovations in Frogmore Cottage. The estate was originally used as housing for staff members, so a lot needed to be done to turn it into a livable home fit for a royal couple and their new child. The renovations reportedly cost $3 million and, aside from the famous nursery, the house will also include several bedrooms, a gym, and a yoga studio.

Doria Ragland, Meghan Markle’s mother, will move into Frogmore Cottage as well to help her daughter take care of Baby Sussex.

Prince Harry has been extra protective of Meghan Markle

Prince Harry known to be very protective of Meghan Markle when dealing with photographers and other members of the press. Meghan Markle is one of the most famous faces around and photographs of her are extremely in-demand. However, since Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, died after a car chase with the paparazzi, he of course wants to make sure that nothing happens to his wife and unborn baby.

A royal courtier once shared: “It’s my opinion that Harry feels he couldn’t protect his mother, so he’s going all out to protect his wife. This is his way of atoning.”

When Meghan Markle was still Prince Harry’s girlfriend, he already issued a statement to the media urging them to respect her private life and cut back on their stalkerish behavior. Just as well, when the couple resided in Kensington Palace, there were a lot of security measures taken to protect the Duchess of Sussex from prying eyes and unwanted press attention. Even though their new home in Frogmore Cottage is in a more secluded rural area, no doubt Prince Harry will still make sure that Meghan Markle feels safe here.

Prince Harry has also reduced his workload

The Duke of Sussex is known to be a very hard-working royal who often takes on many public engagements for the queen. However, with his wife’s due date being only a few weeks away, he has cut back on his duties to be there for her.

Omid Scobie, a royal commentator, said: “Sources close to Meghan say that like any new mom-to-be, she’s feeling somewhat nervous as the due date approaches, but Harry is there by her side. He’s decreased a lot of his work to be there for his wife.”
