If there’s anything we know about Saweetie, it’s that she’s pretty much obsessed with Hermès Birkin bags. The self-professed “Birkin Bae” often boasts about her love for the popular purses and has been seen on numerous occasions carrying a range of them. But how many Birkin bags does Saweetie have exactly?

Saweetie has worked hard to earn many luxury items

Born Diamonté Quiava Valentin Harper, Saweetie rose to fame in 2017 following the release of “ICY GRL,” an interpolation of Khia’s classic song “My Neck, My Back” from 2002. She has since released several other hits such as “My Type,” “Tap In,” and “Back to the Streets,” helping her achieve a net worth between $1 million and $5 million, according to Capital Xtra.

Her success has allowed her to have a closet full of luxurious items, including four Birkin bags in the colors pink, purple, dark purple, and green. It appears she bought two on her own and got the others from her boyfriend, Quavo, on her 27th birthday back in July.

Saweetie loves her Birkin bags so much that they even have their own Instagram page

And yes, you read that correctly. Saweetie announced in September that she had created a page for her Birkin bags called Birkin Bag Bratz, which now has more than 50,000 followers.

She usually dresses them up and makes them act out skits, including one in October where they fought for her attention. But as she said on Instagram, “Someone tell @birkinbagbratz I ain’t got no favorites.”

Fans are often entertained by her obsession with the bags. However, she has also come under fire for that same reason.

Saweetie has gone viral for her comments on Birkin bags

Saweetie sparked a global debate on the importance of having a Birkin bag in October with comments she made on social media. She had been promoting “Back to the Streets” featuring Jhené Aiko when she posted a video advising women to ditch men who are unable to get a Birkin bag. (Business Insider says they can range from “$9,000 to half a million dollars.”)

“If he not getting you a Birkin, if he not paying for your bills, then throw that [N-word] back to the streets, OK?” she said in the clip.

The video was met with widespread criticism, with many people accusing Saweetie of peddling materialistic and unrealistic ideas. However, she defended herself in an appearance on Power 106 Los Angeles with Bryhana.

“Women are magical creatures and we deserve to be treated like a queen. So that’s what I meant by that statement,” she said. “… A Birkin is symbolic. Get her a purse, get her some jewelry—of course, according to your tax bracket. I don’t want you to clean out your savings to try to keep up with social media or society … It was a quick comment that represents how I feel women should be treated, which is showered with gifts, OK?”
