Even if you’re not an NBA fan, chances are you know who Lamar Odom is. The former Los Angeles Lakers player’s fame went to new heights when he married Khloé Kardashian in 2009 and was featured on reality TV. He also made headlines for personal struggles.

Following his near-death experience, Odom’s marriage to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star ended. But while they were together there were reports that Odom didn’t see his children very much. Here’s more on that and how many kids the former NBA star has fathered.

Lamar Odom’s relationships

In April 2021, it was reported that Odom was seeing another reality star when he was spotted with Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta‘s Karlie Redd. Odom had previously been engaged to Sabrina Parr for a year but things ended for them in November 2020.

Odom’s most high-profile relationship was with Kardashian. He proposed just nine days after they started dating, and they were married within a month. Their marriage was tumultuous, and after separating, their divorce was finalized in 2016.

Prior to meeting Kardashian, Odom briefly dated actor Taraji P. Henson. Before that, he was in a long-term relationship with his high school sweetheart Liza Morales.

How many children Lamar Odom has

Morales is no stranger to reality TV either. She is on VH1’s hit show Basketball Wives. She and Odom welcomed three children together.

Their daughter, Destiny, was born on Aug. 6, 1998, followed by their son, Lamar Jr., two years later. The pair also had another child, Jayden, on Dec. 15, 2005. Sadly, Jayden died on June 29, 2006, from sudden infant death syndrome. According to Morales, it was that grief that ultimately ended their relationship.

The former Laker did not see Destiny and Lamar Jr. too often when he was married to Kardashian. At that time, he was residing on the west coast while his son and daughter were living in New York with their mother. Morales recently claimed that Odom stopped paying child support. Page Six reported that he is expected to pay $6,000 a month, plus their children’s college fees.

In addition to being featured in KUWTK while with his former in-laws, he and his ex-wife also had their own spinoff series titled Khloe & Lamar, which lasted for two seasons. Celebrity Net Worth notes that today Odom has an estimated net worth of $30 million.

During an interview on Good Morning America in May, Odom said that things have been going well for him personally. He revealed that he’s been receiving ketamine under medical supervision for the past couple of years and has overcome his addiction.

“I’m feeling amazing,” he stated. “I’m alive. I’m sober. I’m happy.”
