How old is Princess Anne?

Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh welcomed Princess Anne on Aug. 5, 1950, two years after Prince Charles was born. At the time of her birth, she was second in line to the throne behind her older brother. Once her two younger siblings, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, were born they automatically moved ahead of Anne in the line because of the Act of Settlement of 1701.

In 2013, the Succession to the Crown Act was introduced which no longer allows males heirs to take precedence over their older sisters.

Anne is the only one of the queen’s children to actually be convicted of a crime and the only royal in modern times who was nearly abducted.

How many times has she been married?

Anne has been married twice. The Princess wed Captain Mark Phillips, an Olympic equestrian and retired military officer, in 1973. They had two children together — a son, Peter, in 1977 and a daughter, Zara, four years later.

Because Captain Phillips did not have a royal title himself, neither one of his kids were born with one. Queen Elizabeth offered to give them courtesy titles but Anne and Phillips declined. The reasoning was so Peter and Zara could have a normal childhood.

“I’m very lucky that both my parents decided to not use the title and we grew up and did all the things that gave us the opportunity to do,” Zara told People.

In 2010, Peter and his wife, Autumn Kelly, welcomed Anne’s first grandchild, Savannah. The couple had another daughter, Isla, in 2012.

Two years later, Anne’s daughter gave birth to her first child, Mia, with husband Mike Tindall. Their second little girl, Lena, was born in June 2018.

The Princess Royal’s second husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, is a retired British naval officer and former equerry to the queen. He and Anne tied the knot in Scotland on Dec. 12, 1992.

What is her net worth?

Princess Anne has a reputation for attending more engagements than any other royal. In fact, she was named the hardest-working member of the royal family in 2018 as well as 2017 and 2016.

Today, Anne has a net worth of $30 million. Her wealth comes from a trust that was set up by her late grandfather, King George VI, as well as an annual stipend she gets from her mother.
