Maren Morris is one of country music’s hottest rising stars at the moment. She is known for her big voice and powerful songs that sometimes blur the line between pop and country music.

Despite her very impressive discography and career, many people also take notice of Morris’ short stature, especially when she is standing next to celebrities like Taylor Swift and her Highwomen bandmates.

Morris grew up in Arlington, Texas, and began playing the guitar at age 12. She started writing her own songs and releasing albums when she was 15 years old. Morris tried to make a name for herself in music for quite a long time.

She wrote songs for other artists, released a lot of music, and even tried to audition for many competition shows.

Her hard work finally paid off in 2016 when her song “My Church” became a hit in country music. Afterward, Morris started touring with stars such as Keith Urban and Sam Hunt, thereby increasing her popularity.

Then, she released more songs such as”80s Mercedes,” “I Could Use a Love Song,” “Rich,” and “Girl.” She even collaborated with mainstream pop artists such as Zedd, Niall Horan, and Hozier.

Maren Morris recently joined The Highwomen

In early 2019, it was announced that Morris would be a part of a group of country female artists called The Highwomen (the name is a homage to the supergroup, The Highwaymen, in the 1980s and 1990s).

The Highwomen — which consisted of Morris, Brandi Carlile, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby — was formed mostly in response to the lack of female representation in country music and would be a way of encouraging women to support each other.

Hemby told NPR that the genre could use more female faces. She said: “There’s still this talk of like, ‘Well we’ve got a girl like her already.’ And it’s like, well, you have 10 boys who all sound alike and all their names are Luke.”

She added: “We’re trying to make a statement and bring more women front and center.”

The Highwomen’s first single, “Redesigning Women,” peaked at number 50 on the US Hot Country chart. Meanwhile, their self-titled album, went to number 1 on the US Country chart and number 10 on the Billboard 200.

Maren Morris’ net worth

Maren Morris’ career is clearly very exciting right now. In 2017, it was reported that she had a net worth of around $2 million, though the number has no doubt gone up since then.

And considering this could just be the beginning of her success, Morris will be earning more money for years to come.

Maren Morris’ height

Anyone looking at Morris can tell that the country star has a petite figure. She tends to wear heels a lot, which could hide her real height, though Morris once admitted that she stands at 5’1”.

She reportedly told CMT: “I’m five-foot-one and I’ve got short brunette hair — I’m not the typical country-looking starlet.”

However, some fans believe that she could actually be shorter than that and perhaps even shorter than 5 feet. One person noted: “She uploads a lot of photos from her Meet and Greet with fans and she looks really, really tiny next to anybody.”

In any case, Morris has never let her stature hold her back from making the best of her career.

She also joins the rank of other small female starlets whose talents are more well-known than their heights, like Lady Gaga (5’1″), Kylie Minogue (5’0″), Ariana Grande (5’0″), and even legendary country musician Dolly Parton (5’0″).
