Aside from gaining notoriety from her family’s hit series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kendall Jenner has made a name for herself as one of the most successful supermodels of her generation.

While Jenner’s modeling career has definitely paid off over the years, many have wondered if she’d still be successful if she wasn’t already famous?

Also, would Jenner have what it takes to be the modeling legend she today if it wasn’t for famous family?

Jenner could still be a model if she didn’t come from a famous family

For the past four years, Jenner has been living out her dream of being a model. It’s all thanks to her family’s connections within the fashion industry.

Back in 2009, the reality star shared her aspirations of being a model with her parents. Seeing as Kris Jenner is the ultimate momager, she decided to make her daughter’s dreams come true by reaching out to a few people.

The young model soon found herself meeting some of the top modeling agencies in the country and was quickly signed to Wilhelmina Models.

While the momager’s connections definitely came in handy, where would Jenner be today if her family members weren’t prominent figures in the industry?

Jenner has always been told she should take up modeling and definitely could have gotten in contact with the right people had she not already been famous.

Although it would have taken her a little longer to get on modeling agencies’ radars, it would have only been a matter of time before that actually happened.

Seeing as she grew up in Los Angeles, there is a good chance Jenner would have came across a modeling agency who saw her potential right off the bat.

Modeling scouts are always on the hunt for fresh new faces and big areas like Los Angeles are where they find many of their most successful models.

Even if luck wasn’t on her side, Jenner could have easily started off as an Instagram model and made connections with agencies that way.

She considered becoming an equestrian

Though Jenner has always dreamed of being a model, she was prepared to go down a different career path if things didn’t work out.

Back in 2016, Jenner sat down with Harper’s Bazaar to talk about life before becoming a model.

Despite living a high-profile lifestyle, Jenner admitted that she once envisioned riding horses for a living rather than walking runways around the world.

“I’ve always loved animals,” Jenner told the magazine. “I rode horses for 10 and a half years, so I thought I was going to be a professional horseback rider and then a vet. I used to play these vet video games.”

Although she has grown to love her career as a model, there is a good chance Jenner would be a professional equestrian if she didn’t grow up famous.

If it wasn’t for her family show, Jenner would have had more time riding horses, which is something she’s always loved doing.

With her having more free time to enjoy hobbies, there is a possibility that riding horses would have become Jenner’s passion rather than modeling.

Had she’d not already been famous, Jenner could have easily become a professional equestrian and still do a little modeling on the side.

The possibilities are endless when it comes to Jenner.

While we can agree that being famous really helped get her foot in the door, the supermodel would have still found success had she not grow up as a reality star.
