If ‘Sons of Anarchy’ Star Charlie Hunnam Ever Joined Social Media It Would Involve Cooking and His Cat

‘Sons of Anarchy’ alum Charlie Hunnam famously does not use social media, so his legions of fans rarely get a glimpse into his personal life. But if the ‘Shantaram’ star ever did join Instagram or Twitter, he knows who would be the star of the show.

Sons of Anarchy alum Charlie Hunnam is a very private person. He doesn’t do social media, so fans rarely get a glimpse into his personal life. But if he did ever join a platform like Instagram or TikTok, Hunnam says his posts would involve cooking and his cat.

The ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star has a secret talent

During a 2017 interview with Buzzfeed, Hunnam revealed a few personal details about himself that fans may not know. The 41-year-old confessed that his secret talent was breakdancing.

He explained that his special move was to “hold one leg and jump through, without breaking contact.”

“I haven’t tried it for a while. I think it would probably end in disaster if I did it right now,” Hunnam said. “I’ve taken to wearing much tighter pants than I used to, so I’m not even sure if I’d be able to do it in these jeans. But maybe I’ll try later… If it goes well I’ll video it and send you it.”

Charlie Hunnam’s bigness weakness is ice cream

When it comes to personal weaknesses, Hunnam says his biggest is ice cream. He revealed that his girlfriend, Morgana McNelis, bought him an ice-cream maker. But he can’t make the sweet treat that often because he’ll “eat the whole thing.”

“I made double-dark chocolate. I put in twice the amount of chocolate, crystallized ginger, gingersnap cookies, a bit of chili flake — whew, forget about it!” Hunnam said.

Ice cream may be his favorite food, but Hunnam also has a favorite drink. He says he prefers a “gin and tonic or red wine.”

The ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star likes cooking videos

The Sons of Anarchy alum says he doesn’t mind the kitchen, and the only version of social media he’s interested in is cooking videos. If he was to ever join a platform, Hunnam says his videos would be all about cooking and his kitty cat.

“The only version of social media that interests me would be posting cooking videos. I’m not afraid of pots and pans,” Hunnam revealed. “My cat, George, is fascinated by it — I talk to him while he watches me cook. I could call my page Cooking With George. I think it’d be a big hit.”

Charlie Hunnam has a big pet peeve

According to the Sons of Anarchy star, his biggest pet peeve is bad drivers. As someone who rides motorcycles, Hunnam explained that people who “are not equipped to drive and yet feel entitled to be behind the wheel of a car” really bother him.

“I used to ride a motorbike all the time and I tell you, you become much more sensitive to peoples’ inability or inadequacy behind the wheel and it gets quite scary when you’re on two wheels,” Hunnam said.

The ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star is not the tough guy he plays on TV

For seven seasons, Hunnam played tough guy Jax Teller. A character who had no problems with violence when it was necessary. After Sons of Anarchy ended, he became an action star in the movies. But Hunnam says he is nothing like the tough guys he plays on TV and on the silver screen.

“I play a lot of tough guys and violent characters, but I’m not like that at all. I’m a hippie who smiles a lot and is pretty relaxed. I’ve often had an escape fantasy that I would go out into the woods by myself for a year or two and discover who I am and what life is about,” Hunnam told Cosmopolitan.

All seven seasons of Sons of Anarchy are available on Hulu.
