Cher’s real estate portfolio boasts homes in Hawaii, Florida, and numerous properties in Southern California.

In the ’70s, the star and her then-husband Sonny Bono bought sprawling houses in Los Angeles County’s Holmby Hills and Beverly Hills, the latter was sold to Eddie Murphy in 1988.

In the early ’90s, Cher purchased an impressive six-bedroom, eight-bathroom Mediterranean-style villa in the Sunshine State. The “Believe” hitmaker also called an apartment in London home in the ’90s when she lived in Oliver’s Wharf, a converted warehouse located in the city’s East End.

In 2006, Cher purchased a place in West Hollywood for a reported $3 million. Other celebrities like Sir Elton John, Joan Collins, and Sandra Bullock had flats in those Sierra Towers too.

A few years later, Cher got an extravagant pad within the Four Seasons Resort Hualalai on Hawaii’s Big Island. She ended up selling it in 2010.

One of the most famed properties Cher has owned is an Italian Renaissance-style estate in Malibu.

According to Realtor.com, the home offers spectacular views of the beach and is 14,000 square feet with six bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The “If I Could Turn Back Time” artist help decorate and design every part of the property. “The entire project was a collaboration between Cher and me,” her longtime friend and designer Ron Wilson told Architectural Digest. “She was totally involved with the landscape design — which is unbelievable. She’s very gifted.”

Some amenities inside the mansion include a theater and a gym. The outdoor area boasts a tennis court, several verandas, as well as an infinity pool which is an amenity Cher really enjoys.

“The infinity-edge pool is where I spend all of my time in the summer,” she revealed.

Cher also spoke to AD about how special the Malibu property is to her.

“Every day when I wake up and look out my bedroom window I’m never not amazed,” she said. “Every room has two views of the ocean, each of which is so beautiful. The water is always glistening, the sunset is always happening.”

The star added: “My house is so special because it’s my sanctuary my fortress. Really the only place I have any privacy.”

And Cher went to great lengths to maintain that privacy. In 2003, she had a 10-foot wall built around the home. However, that was three feet higher than the zoning allowed. When the songbird was told to knock it down, she took the case all the way to the California Appeals Court before settling and got to keep the wall in exchange for a $125,000 donation to public schools.
