While Southern Charm fans are patiently waiting for the season 8 premiere, there is some major drama going on among the cast. Not long after filming wrapped in late 2021, star Leva Bonaparte unfollowed most of her co-stars on social media. And, she’s been posting cryptic messages that indicate she could be done with the popular Bravo reality series. Here’s a look inside Leva’s feud with the cast of Southern Charm

Leva Bonaparte didn’t give a reason for unfollowing her ‘Southern Charm’ co-stars

In December 2021, eagle-eyed Southern Charm fans noticed that Leva had unfollowed several of her castmates — Kathryn Dennis, Craig Conover, Austen Kroll, and Madison LeCroy.

She never gave a reason why. But leaks shared by the Best of Bravo Instagram account indicate that something went down at a party that Austen Kroll threw at one of Leva’s Charleston restaurants, 1st Place.

The fan page reported that Austen was hosting a party to celebrate the release of two new beers from his Kings Calling Brewing Company. But something happened that night that caused Austen and Leva to get into an argument. And, this fight “continued at the finale party.”

“At the finale party, Leva was getting into it with a couple of cast members and stormed out multiple times. She insulted Craig [Conover] and his business and was unhappy with her seating arrangements at the party. She left with [Naomie Olindo] and Madison Simon.”

Leva Bonaparte seems to have a major issue with Austen Kroll and Craig Conover

After filming the season 8 finale, Leva took to her Instagram Story and started sharing cryptic messages about the feud with her co-stars.

“I can’t be around people who think my accomplishments, success, and future opportunities are competition,” Leva wrote. “If we can’t be happy for one another, we have nothing in common. Bye.”

A few hours later, Leva reposted a message from the Bravo Chat Room that read, “Honestly if we have a season of the men mansplaining and hating on Leva I hope she drags them for filth. Leva is UNTOUCHABLE. Periodt.”

Leva also seems to have issues with Austen’s relationship with Olivia Flowers, who is joining the cast in season 8. Olivia was a friend of Leva’s, who met Austen at her and Leva’s birthday party after his split from Madison LeCroy.

“They actually met at [Olivia’s and my] birthday and he rolled up in her DMs,” the restaurant owner told Us Weekly. “I think I posted a picture of her because she was coming back to town. He was like, ‘Who is your friend?’ and I was like, ‘Austen, you need therapy right now. You need to date nobody, including my friend. You need to figure your stuff out.”

The ‘Southern Charm’ star tried to keep Kathryn Dennis from getting canceled

Leva joined the cast of Southern Charm in season 7, and spent most of the episodes talking about Kathryn. She said during the reunion that the hardest part of being on the Bravo series was not being heard at times. And then Leva and Kathryn got into it over Leva trying to turn Kathryn’s friends against her.

Leva says that she butted heads with Kathryn because she wanted her to address the racism scandal that she was involved in at the time. Leva told Andy Cohen during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live that she wanted to prevent Kathryn from getting canceled.

“I knew that in order for Kathryn to not go down the route of cancel, she had to go down the route of addressing and talking about it,” Leva explained. “It really was just about, ‘Let’s not sweep this under the rug because it’s not going to work. We don’t live in that time anymore.’”

Leva admitted that she didn’t understand Kathryn and how she copes with hardship. She says they have a lot of personality clashes. But claimed they ultimately decided to hug things out and “move on.”
