Charlie Hunnam’s portrayal of Jax Teller on Sons of Anarchy vaulted him into the spotlight. The show lasted seven seasons on FX and remains one of the network’s most popular dramas to date. While Hunnam has moved on to build an impressive career in the movie industry, he is not the richest Sons of Anarchy cast member. Here is a quick rundown on all of the wealthiest Sons of Anarchy stars and how they earned their fortunes.

Charlie Hunnam

Hunnam’s net worth is estimated to be around $16 million. The vast majority of his wealth comes from starring on Sons of Anarchy, though the actor has taken on several big projects on the silver screen. This includes the lead in Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and a role in Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim.

Charlie Hunnam’s other movie credits include Papillon, The Lost City of Z, Triple Frontier, A Million Little Pieces, and Crimson Peak. His first breakout role, of course, was his part as Nicholas Nickleby in Queer as Folk. The British actor is also working on several upcoming movies, so his net worth will undoubtedly go up as the years go by.

Katey Sagal

Katey Sagal played the role of Jax’s mother, Gemma Teller, on Sons of Anarchy from 2008 to 214. The part contributed to Sagal’s impressive fortune, but it was not the actress’s most well-known role. Sagal first rose to fame as Peggy Bundy in the popular sitcom, Married… With Children, which aired in the 1980s and 1990s. Sagal was born into a family of entertainers and has had cameos in a variety of television shows over the years. Fans may also recognize her voice on the popular animated series, Futurama.

According to The Richest, Sagal is the richest Sons of Anarchy star with a net worth of $30 million. In addition to her appearances on TV, Sagal is a gifted singer and has released several albums over the years. She also sang a few tracks for Sons of Anarchy and is married to the show’s creator, Kurt Sutter.

Jimmy Smits

Sagal might be the wealthiest cast member of Sons of Anarchy, but Jimmy Smits is right behind her. Smits, who appeared on the show as the beloved character, Nero Padilla, is worth $25 million. Smits has enjoyed a long and successful career in Hollywood, which is why he has been able to amass so much money.

Some of his credits include NYPD Blue, L.A. Law, Dexter, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, How to Get Away With Murder, and The West Wing. He also made an appearance in the Star Wars franchise. Smits continues to work in Hollywood and has several upcoming projects.

Ron Perlman

Ron Perlman is the third highest-earning Sons of Anarchy star with a fortune worth $15 million.  Long before he played Clay Morrow on Sutter’s biker drama, Perlman was well known for his part in the television show, Beauty and the Beast, as well as his portrayal of the eponymous hero in Hellboy and Hellboy II: The Golden Army.

Perlman has also appeared in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and done voice work in Tangled, Teen Titans, and the video game Fallout. An interesting side note is that Perlman started his acting career on the stage.

Maggie Siff

Maggie Siff rounds out or list of the wealthiest Sons of Anarchy stars at $8 million, placing her just below Hunnam. Siff has worked on a variety of television shows over the years, including parts in Mad Men, Billions, and Nip/Tuck. The actress has also appeared on the big screens in Concussion and Push and works as a spokeswoman for the company Betterment.

Mark Boone Junior and Kim Coates

Some honorable mentions include Mark Boone Junior, who played Robert “Bobby Elvis” Munson, and Kim Coates, who starred as Alexander “Tig” Trager. Junior has an estimated net worth of $5 million while Coates’ fortune is around $4 million. Apart from Sons of Anarchy, Junior made a name for himself on Batman Begins, Seven, and Memento. Coates, meanwhile, is getting ready to appear on Fantasy Island as Devil Face.
