Throughout his presidential campaign, Joe Biden has been endorsed by many A-list celebrities who believe he showcases the resilience, heroism, and commitment needed to lead a nation.

Among those supportive celebrities is Justin Timberlake, who has not only expressed his appreciation for Biden’s hard work ahead of the 2020 U.S. Election but is also helping the President-elect ring in his win on inauguration day.

With all the support the singer has shown Biden over the last few months, we wonder: “Are Timberlake and Biden friends?” and “Is Justin Timberlake Joe Biden’s favorite artist?”

Justin Timberlake and Joe Biden support each other

Like U.S. Presidents before him, Biden has formed friendships with many A-list celebrities.

Though he established bonds with A-listers during his time as Barack Obama’s vice-president, it seems the Biden has made even more pals during his battle to win the presidency.

From Lady Gaga to Cardi B, Biden has had many well-known people in the entertainment industry support his campaign. However, there’s one celebrity who’s ongoing support for Biden has ultimately been reciprocated, and it is that of pop singer Justin Timberlake.

For those of you who don’t know, Biden and Timberlake go back a few years.

The notable figures met at the 2013 Time 100 Gala in New York City, where both were honored for being named two of the magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world. There’s even a photo of Timberlake and his wife, Jessica Biel, conversing with Biden during the event.

In 2020, both found themselves supporting each other’s careers during Biden’s presidential campaign.

While Timberlake was regularly endorsing the politician’s run for the presidency, Biden used the singer’s hit song, “Cry Me A River,” for one of his campaign ads, which took aim at opponent Donald Trump.

“Over 1 million cases of COVID-19. Almost 70,000 dead. What is upsetting President Trump? Tough questions from the press,” reads a post on Biden’s Instagram account. “Cry me a river, Mr. President.”

Justin Timberlake is ‘very excited’ to perform at Joe Biden’s inauguration

Over the last few months, Timberlake has continued to show his support for Biden and the politician’s run for the presidency.

In November, the former *NSYNC singer crashed a Zoom call with volunteers for Biden’s campaign to share his appreciation for their hard work ahead of the 2020 election.

“I just wanted to come on and tell you guys that you got a huge fan in me,” Timberlake said. “I always was told when I was young that the hardest work you do is the work that nobody gets to see, and I think that really is apropos to what you guys are doing behind the scenes for the campaign… You guys are the real rock stars!”

A few months later, Timberlake signed on to perform during the President-elect’s inauguration ceremony, which he expressed his excitement for during a recent appearance on the Today show.

“I got the phone call to be asked (to perform at the inauguration), and I was just like, ‘Uh, yes!'” Timberlake recalled. “I’m very excited,”

The singer even revealed that he’d written a song for the grand occasion, which he will debut live on the Celebrating America TV special hosted by Tom Hanks.

“There’s a song that I wrote with a new artist who was just nominated for a Grammy, Ant Clemons, and we wrote a song called ‘Better Days,'” Timberlake shared. “We’re going to be performing it at the inauguration. So incredibly excited. What an honor.”

Is Justin Timberlake Joe Biden’s favorite artist?

While it’s unclear if Timberlake is Biden’s favorite artist, it appears he is a fan of the singer’s music.

Seeing as the President-elect previously used one of the Grammy winner’s songs in a campaign ad and has the singer performing at his inauguration, we would go as far as to say that Biden is a “TN Kid,” even if he’s never admitted it.
