Is ‘Leave It to Beaver’ on Any Streaming Services in 2021?

Leave It to Beaver was one of the most popular TV shows of the ‘50s. The sitcom followed two young brothers, Beaver (Jerry Mathers) and Wally (Tony Dow), through their innocent childhood adventures. Decades later, the show remains a beloved classic. It airs on broadcast cable from time to time, but is the series on any streaming platforms?

Is ‘Leave It to Beaver’ on Netflix?

With over 200 million subscribers, Netflix is the go-to service for most streaming viewers. Its catalog includes dozens of classic TV shows, including Monty Python’s Flying Circus and The Twilight Zone

In 2014, Netflix acquired the rights to Leave It to Beaver for one year. But, after the year was up, the show left the streamers catalog and has not returned.

‘Leave It to Beaver’ streams for free on Peacock

NBC Universal owns the rights to Leave It to Beaver. So when the studio started its streaming service, Peacock, in 2020, it added the show to its catalog. With either a free (with ads) or paid Peacock subscription, viewers will get access to all six seasons of Leave It to Beaver

Is ‘Leave It to Beaver’ on Hulu?

Hulu is another popular streaming option for viewers. Its vast catalog features classic sitcoms like I Love Lucy and The Brady Bunch. However, if you’re looking for Leave It to Beaver on Hulu, you won’t find it.

‘Leave It to Beaver’ is available for purchase on Amazon Prime Video

Amazon Prime Video carries all seasons 3 through 6 of Leave It to Beaver. The streamer offers episodes for $1.99 each, with entire seasons available for $14.99. 

And as a bonus treat, Amazon Prime subscribers have free access to a special episode of the series that never aired on TV. “Beavers Savings Bond,” which is also referred to as “The Lost Episode,” was made in cooperation with the United States Treasury Department and promoted purchasing U.S. Savings bonds. In the episode, Beaver follows through with one of his misadventures and learns a lesson about money.

Viewers can purchase episodes on other streaming services as well

Aside from Amazon Prime Video, there are plenty of other streamers that offer episodes of Leave It to Beaver as a digital purchase.  iTunes carries five collections of the series titled The Best of Leave It to Beaver. Each volume features 13 episodes and ranges in price from &17.99 to $19.99.

‘Leave It to Beaver’ airs weekdays on cable TV
