Oscar Isaac as Steven Grant/Marc Spector in the Disney+ Marvel Moon Knight show has been met with praise and some criticism (namely Isaac’s accent). When building the Moon Knight cast, Marvel Studios had a lot to consider beyond personality for the episodes. Marvel Comics often gives the height, weight, eye color, and complete physical stats for their more popular characters. Does Oscar Isaac’s height match Moon Knight’s? What about his other stats? Here’s how does Isaac stacks up to his comic counterpart.

Moon Knight is almost a half-foot taller in height than Oscar Isaac

According to the official Marvel Comics Database, the Fist of Khonshu Moon Knight stands at 6 feet, 2 inches (1.88 m). Former Star Wars star Oscar Isaac’s height does not stack up to Moon Knight’s imposing figure in the comics.

Isaac stands about 5 inches shorter than Moon Knight at 5 feet, 9 inches (1.75 m).

However, Marvel actors and their comics characters not matching heights is hardly something new. When 20th Century Fox cast Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the X-Men movies, fans criticized that he was a whole foot taller than the Mutant in the comics (Jackman stood at 6’3” while Wolverine only measured 5’3”).

Rumors of The Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield would play Moon Knight circulated before the series started. And he would match Moon Knight’s height slightly better, as Andrew Garfield’s height is 5’10” (1.78 cm).

However, Isaac and Moon Knight line up on a few other physical stats.

Oscar Isaac’s height doesn’t match Moon Knight, but what about the rest of their stats?

While Moon Knight wears a mask covering his eyes, his secret identit(ies) Marc Spector and Steven Grant have a brown eye color, the same as Isaac. Isaac has darker hair than Moon Knight, whereas the hero has brown compared to the actor’s black hair.

Oscar Isaac is smaller than Moon Knight overall, his weight measuring 159 lbs, while the Fist of Khonshu packed on enough muscle to weigh in at 225 lbs.

Moon Knight is married to Marlene Alarune (theorized to have been changed into Layla, played by May Calamawy in the Disney+ show). Oscar Isaac’s wife is Elvira Lind, whom he married in 2017.

While Oscar Isaac’s height does not measure up to Moon Knight, they have a few other stats in common. However, some fans noticed one detail lacking in the Disney+ show.

The ‘Dune’ and ‘Star Wars’ actor lacks one distinct feature Marc Spector has in Marvel Comics

In Marvel Comics, Marc Spector works as a mercenary. It ultimately led to him working with the Moon Knight villain Raul Bushman, who left him for dead in the desert before Marc struck a deal with the Egyptian god Khonshu.

He has plenty of scrapes and scars from living a dangerous life as a mercenary and a vigilante. And artists often depict Marc Spector with a scar over his left eye.

However, in the Moon Knight TV show, Isaac’s character lacks this distinctive feature.

While the Fist of Khonshu and Oscar Isaac might not match on height or scars, they have several physical stats in common. And Marvel fans usually pay more attention to if actors can capture the personality (or personalities in Moon Knight’s case).
