Some people may recognize Rebecca Ferguson from her performance in The White Queen. Well, she has a couple of movies coming out this year — and one of them is Reminiscence. In it, she stars alongside big names like Hugh Jackman and Thandiwe Newton. While fans wait for the film to arrive, they might be curious about Ferguson. One question on several people’s minds is: Is Rebecca Ferguson married? The actor tends to keep her life private, but she has revealed a few details about her relationship status. 

What is ‘Reminiscence’ about?

Reminiscence is a science-fiction thriller about a private investigator of the mind named Nick Bannister (Jackman). He uses a machine to go through the world of the past to help clients recover lost memories. Living around the sunken Miami coast, the character takes on a new client. The client’s name is Mae (Ferguson), and her case ends up changing Nick’s life.  

Mae soon becomes a love interest for Nick. When she disappears, the mystery makes him want to learn more about her. At first, it is a simple case of lost and found. However, it turns into an obsession as Nick tries to find the truth about Mae. Nick goes as far as to fight for the information, and he discovers a violent conspiracy. One of the themes of the movie is how far someone will go to help the person they love.

Reminiscence premieres in theaters and via HBO Max on Aug. 20, 2021.

Is Rebecca Ferguson married?

Naturally, fans are curious if Ferguson is in a relationship IRL. According to Daily Mail, the actor is married to a man named Rory, but his last name is unknown. The two of them have been together since 2016, and they tied the knot three years later. 

Ferguson tends to keep her romantic and family life private, but she has shared details about her wedding. The couple rented a cottage over the holidays, and their baby slept through the ceremony; Ferguson and Rory had welcomed a daughter named Sage in 2018. Instead of a typical bridal gown, Ferguson wore a wedding skirt. The clothing came with pockets, and she had plans to wear the skirt again when it got warmer. Ferguson mentioned that the wedding was more for her, Rory, and their families. 

Daily Mail also reports that Ferguson has another child from a previous relationship. She welcomed her son Isac (who served as a ring bearer at the wedding) with Ludwig Hallberg in 2007. Ferguson and Hallberg broke up in 2015. 

What other roles has Rebecca Ferguson played?

Besides Reminiscence, Ferguson played in a miniseries called The Red Tent. Most people might recognize the star from her role in the Mission: Impossible franchise. She played Ilsa Faust — an M16 undercover agent who works with Ethan — in Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation. Ferguson’s character became a favorite among fans, and she reprised her role for Mission: Impossible – Fallout. The actor will return for Mission: Impossible 7.

In 2019, Ferguson starred in Doctor Sleep as Rose the Hat. Rose is the leader of a gang of vampires, and people enjoyed the actor’s portrayal of the character. Ferguson also made an appearance in Men in Black: International, as well as in The Snowman. Ferguson has another upcoming project that will premiere in 2021; she is going to portray Lady Jessica in the epic sci-fi film Dune.
