When discussing Beyoncé’s pay for events, one has to start talking in major seven figures before she does any kind of performing. Analyzing this is like trying to put together the value of gold in the entertainment world. Not that everyone doesn’t realize Beyoncé is the equivalent of diamonds in her vocal ability, stage presence, and amazing set lists.

While she’s gone on some lengthy tours, nobody can say they’re an easy road. One thing we’ve seen is Beyoncé and Jay-Z make touring a family affair, including bringing their kids along.

As much money as she made there, Beyoncé calculated a specific fee for one-shot appearances. It’s worth pondering if this is the only type of live stage performance she’ll do any time soon.

How expensive are Beyoncé’s personal appearance fees?

In recent years, Beyoncé’s team put together a specialized fee to charge for special events, mainly for those with deep enough pockets. Those pockets have to be really deep because Queen B charges $2 million for any type of personal event, namely weddings.

This is what she charged when asked to perform at a $100 million wedding in India for Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal. Ambani is the daughter of Asia’s Mukesh Ambani, one of the wealthiest people in the world.

While there’s a lot of speculation on the cost of Ambani and Piramal’s wedding, it was still expensive enough. Only they could afford someone like Beyoncé, even though the latter has played some other weddings.

She’s also formulated a fee for one-shots at music festivals. For this, she charges one million more, likely considered a major step up, even for rich people.

Other events Beyoncé has played

No matter Beyoncé’s high asking fee, events like Coachella have been more than willing to shell out the $3 million she commands. Plus, a private New Year’s Eve event at St. Bart’s contacted Beyoncé to perform at her $2 million rate.

Though these events are rare, it’s worth pondering how much the one-shot fees add up to the money made during Bey’s world tours. Comparisons are wide between the two when considering her Formation World Tour made a quarter of a billion dollars.

When she and Jay-Z went on tour together for their 2018 On the Run II tour, they made $250 million in ticket sales. Outside of the phenomenal money made there, doing tours are always grueling. They played more limited dates on the recent tour, yet also made some tickets affordable for the masses.

One great thing about being already wealthy from album sales is great artists like Beyoncé and Jay-Z can be generous enough to make some tickets more affordable to the general public.

It might surprise some that Beyoncé and Jay-Z aren’t the highest-grossing tours of the last couple of years. At #1 is Taylor Swift, followed by Kanye West. The two made a lot of money from their respective tours.

The Carters ultimately fell to #7 and 8, respectively, at $81 million. Maybe offering a few affordable tickets was the reason, though Beyoncé’s overall worth is already $400 million, not including Jay-Z’s $250 million.

Another tour by either of them might be a long time away besides, so it’ll be a while before any new financial figures are available. It still appears Beyoncé is open to those one-shot performances, something most people won’t be able to afford unless winning Powerball.

Her fee will probably mean hearing news of her performing at weddings less than two times per year in the immediate term. Unless more people find ways to become financially independent enough to make $2 million looks like pocket change.
