Antonoff rose to prominence as a member of the band Fun. Their hit single, “We Are Young,” quickly shot up the Billboard chart, earning them notoriety. Antonoff then embarked on a solo project under the name Bleachers, releasing the song “I Wanna Get Better” in 2014.

But Antonoff is perhaps best known for the work he does as a songwriter and producer. He’s worked with such notable artists as Lorde, Lana Del Rey, and St. Vincent. Antonoff has also written songs for the likes of Pink, Carly Rae Jepsen, and many more. However, the artist he’s most associated with is Swift.

He’s been working with Taylor Swift for years

Swift and Antonoff first teamed up for the song “Sweeter Than Fiction,” which she wrote for the movie One Chance. At the time, she was working on her first official pop album, 1989. Swift and Antonoff worked together on three songs off the album, including the promotional single “Out of the Woods.”

From there, their working relationship took off. Antonoff’s been a part of every Swift album since. “some things in life get old,” Antonoff tweeted on Evermore‘s release day. “making work with @taylorswift13 never does. its a wild journey and i could not love her words, music and the way she delivers it all more.”

Antonoff will perform with Swift at the 2021 Grammys

Antonoff worked on seven songs on Folklore, the album Swift’s nominated for at the 2021 Grammy Awards. Along with fellow collaborator Aaron Dessner of The National, Antonoff joined Swift to perform the songs for her Disney+ concert special Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions. And they’ll reunite at the Grammys.

“My Grammy performance includes my collaborators Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff,” she revealed on CBS. “Which is really exciting because this has been an adventure that the three of us have gone on since the very beginning of quarantine and lockdown.”
