Jaden Smith posted a fist-bump fail video

Smith posted the video to his Instagram account back on Sept. 20. It shows him standing with his parents, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, and one other person.

The individual extends their arm to give Jada a fist-bump, at which point Smith reaches in to join them. However, that person ignores him and daps up Will instead. Left hanging, Jaden has a sad look come across his face as a depressing tune begins to play in the background.

Captioning the video, Smith wrote: “Me Trying To Get Any Sort Of Acknowledgment While My Parents Are Present.” The clip amassed over five million views and 15,000 comments, with many stars such as his sister Willow Smith and his friend Justin Bieber laughing and agreeing in the comment section.

Will Smith even reacted to the video

Will re-posted the video to his own Instagram, where he has almost 50 million followers, writing: “HAHAHAHA!!” His re-post earned more than 20,000,000 million views and nearly 50,000 comments, including one from Will’s Tik Tok collaborators, Jason Derulo, who said: “I’m dead 😂.”

“Don’t do my baby like that 😩😂😂😂😂😂😂,” commented actor Taraji P. Henson, as Will’s first wife and mother of his eldest son, Trey, laughed along with a string of emojis.

It just goes to show what an amazing sense of humor the family has and how they can turn anything into a joke, even if they’re at the center of it.

The Smiths have used social media to address some pretty serious topics

Previously, Will used his YouTube account to joke about the memes that surfaced after the revelation that Pinkett Smith had an “entanglement” with August Alsina during their marriage.

As Pinkett Smith confirmed the rumored fling in a July appearance with Will on Red Table Talk, the I Am Legend actor was seen sitting with what fans called sad eyes and a heartbroken look on his face. On Oct. 5, he took to YouTube with a video interspersed with some of the memes about him crying and explained what his thought process really was at that moment.

“I think because I drink so much coffee I get dehydrated and it makes my eyes water,” he began. When Pinkett Smith remarked that he doesn’t cry and wasn’t crying in the Red Table Talk appearance, he chimed in saying: “No, it was midnight. We were shooting at midnight because we were trying to rush to go to the airport in the morning and I was tired. I said reshoot it, but it played out. Everybody’s like ‘poor Will.'”

The clip then cuts to some of the memes that popped up on social media after Pinkett Smith confessed to being with August Alsina. Will laughed along as he recalled seeing the reactions to the look he had throughout the interview. “I was like, ‘Oh, they think I’m sad. They think I’m sad,” he teased. “No, it’s like, they love themselves some Will.”
