Jeffrey Wright made his film debut in the 1990 film Presumed Innocent, in which he played the role of the prosecuting attorney. After that, he appeared in the 1991 TV mini-series Separate But Equal. Wright made his Broadway debut in 1993 in play Angels in America: Millennium Approaches. He played three roles in the production.
