Baby announcement

Dewan revealed her happy news in September, sharing that she and Kazee were expecting their first child together. “We are beyond overjoyed and couldn’t be happier to be expanding our family!” the couple told People.

The two began dating in 2018 and quickly became an item. The Tony Award-winning actor does not hold back on publicly expressing his feelings for Dewan. “Disclaimer: I’m aware this is basically an @jennadewan fan account now. There is a reason for that,” Kazee wrote on Instagram last month. “That reason is that I constantly watch with absolute awe as she has carves her path through this world and all the while she does it with a level of grace that we should all aspire to.”

Kazee gushed over Dewan’s parenting and professional successes. “From starring as a mother to her beautiful daughter and our soon to be child, to her lead role as a partner in my life, a published author of #gracefullyyou, to her starring turn on @soundtracknetflix, and to the premiere of @flirtydancefox tonight she never fails to inspire and amaze me,” he wrote. “So yes…I’m proud. Incredibly. I want everyone to know about her because she is a gift to this world in so many ways.”

A different experience

Dewan recently shared that this pregnancy is quite a shift from what she experienced when she was expecting Everly. “It’s been amazing. First pregnancy was really easy. Evie was like a dream pregnancy,” Dewan said, according to Entertainment Tonight. “This time around, [it’s] also really great, but everything’s happening faster. I’m swelling faster, I have heartburn faster, I was way more nauseous this time around, so it’s a little different.”

She revealed that her cravings are definitely more of the junk-food variety with this pregnancy. “With Evie I was super-healthy,” Dewan said. “I would actually find I wanted grapefruit which was, like, ‘Thank you, Evie.’ Not this time. This time, I want junk food. I want everything bad. It was immediate. I was like, ‘Where’s the chips? Where’s the Taco Bell?’ I needed junk food.”

While the dancer admitted to being more fatigued, she’s been able to stay in shape. “I felt a little bit more tired and nauseous this time around,” Dewan shared. “Overall, it’s been great. I’ve definitely been working a lot throughout it, which has been a blessing in a lot of ways so I kind of keep going.”

Big sister on duty

Apparently, Dewan will have plenty of help once her newborn arrives. Big sister Everly revealed that she’s ready to be on night watch.

“She just said to me this morning, ‘I’m preparing myself for that baby to cry all the time,’ ” Dewan said, according to People. “It was so adult and she asked me if the baby cried in the night if she could get out of her bed and go sing the baby song. And I was like, that is so sweet.”

The Flirty Dancing host has full confidence in her daughter’s care-taking skills, saying she’s “old enough to understand that she’s going to have responsibilities and she’s a big sister,” Dewan said. “She’s taking it very seriously.”
