Jennifer Lawrence was recognized as one of the highest-paid actresses in 2015-2016. Even after taking a short break, she still remains a very popular actor. She has been in several movies but is perhaps best known for her role as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games.

However, recently, it has been announced that she will soon take on a new role; one that she shares with her husband Cooke Maroney. It is the role of being a parent, a fact that makes fans wonder a little about the relationship. We want to know more about how they met, especially since these two keep a low profile when it comes to their relationship.

What we know about Cooke Maroney

Maroney grew up primarily in Leicester, Vermont where his family moved after tiring of the city life with kids. James Maroney and Suki Fredericks are his parents. Mr. Maroney was previously Head of the American Paintings at Christie’s. The younger Maroney chose to follow in his father’s footsteps and now serves as the director for New York City’s Gladstone Gallery.

Lawrence and Maroney met in June 2018. Although he is an art dealer, yet relatively unknown by anyone unless associated with her, and she is a movie star with several highly rated movies, the two hit it off quickly. Everything points to the fact that they met through a mutual friend. At first, it seems that they even tried to avoid being seen together.

The truth is, from the start sources agreed that they had a lot in common. They were both single when they happened to meet. They both seem to be very family-oriented. Both halves of this couple are low-key and private. He has only a private Instagram and doesn’t use social media.

As they grew closer, they were seen together frequently but never advertised that they were a couple.  However, some say that the two were engaged by February 2019. The engagement party took place in early May 2019.

On October 19, 2019, the couple said, “I do.”  It was a private event at the Belcourt of Newport in Rhode Island. There were only about 150 people in attendance, with many stars there to watch the joyous event. Some celebrities included Amy Schumer, Adel, Emma Stone, and Nicole Ritchie.

At around the first of September, Lawrence’s rep admitted that she was expecting their first child. The exact due date is something that no one knows at this time, though there is speculation that she could deliver somewhere between December 2021 and February 2022.

What we do know is that often women are advised to not tell that they are pregnant until they reach the second trimester. This could mean that she is well on her way in pregnancy, especially when there are a few photos of her with a baby bump on Daily Mail. Either way, it appears that her dreams have finally come true.

Early on, though Lawrence wasn’t fully committed to getting married, she has said that she knew she wanted to marry him. She told People, “It’s just – this is the one, I know that sounds really stupid, but he’s just, he’s – you know. He’s the greatest person I’ve ever met, so I feel very honored to become a Maroney.”

At one time, Lawrence wanted kids, but then it is also reported that she found the idea less appealing as she had gotten older, though she is only 31. Maroney changed her mind, apparently, since there have been rumors of a possible extension of their family since they became married.
