In the past few years, there have been rumors that Lopez’s youthful glow comes from using La Mer’s expensive Crème de la Mer cream all over her body.
This was also exacerbated by an interview Lopez’s longtime makeup artist, Scott Barnes once did. Speaking to Popsugar in 2018, Barnes shared that Lopez swears by the La Mer cream and it is “the one thing that’s on the makeup station, no matter what.”
However, Lopez recently did an interview with Vanity Fair where she was asked to deny or confirm rumors about herself. When she was asked about whether she uses “La Mer eye cream as body cream,” Lopez simply said: “Deny.”

Lopez’s tips for maintaining healthy skin actually are less bizarre than most people think. In fact, it involves a number of things that are common knowledge.
For example, Lopez tries to stay away from drugs and alcohol. She once shared with Us Weekly: “I don’t drink or smoke or have caffeine. That really wrecks your skin as you get older.”
Like a lot of celebrities, Lopez also makes sure that she has a healthy diet to keep her body in tip-top shape. Lopez eats a lot of vegetables and protein while avoiding sugar and processed food. Additionally, she enjoys cooking meals at home for her kids instead of eating out.
“I love to cook a lot of stuff,” Lopez to Us Weekly. “I love cooking Puerto Rican food because that’s what I grew up on.”
However, when Lopez does go out to eat, she looks for healthy options at the restaurant. Usually, that might be a salad or a dish with fish and vegetables.
In an interview with Hello!, Lopez revealed that she tries to snack on healthy food as well, saying: “I always carry fruit and veggies with me to give me something to snack on between meals.”

“Sometimes, I work too late the night before, and I’m like, ‘Ugh, I can’t do this,'” she told Prevention. “But I tell myself, ‘Just do it. It’s only an hour.’ It’s just talking yourself off the ledge of being a lazy bum.”
Her workout routines often involve Pilates, kickboxing, weight training, and dance.
For Lopez, the most important component for her glowing skin is sleep. When asked about her best beauty sleep in an interview with InStyle, Lopez shared that she always tries to get enough shut-eye every night.
“The number one tip is to always get enough sleep. I can’t stress this enough,” she said. “Ideally I would love to get nine or 10 hours of sleep, but either way, I always make sure I get at least eight.”
