Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were one of the biggest couples of the 2000s. She was a fast-rising singer with hits like “Ain’t It Funny” and “Jenny from the Block” while he was a world-famous movie star. They appeared to have great chemistry and eventually became relationship goals to everyone. But after a whirlwind romance, the two split up.

Soon, she and Affleck became an item, known as Bennifer by fans. They got engaged in 2002 and planned to marry the following year. But by 2004, they’d called it off.

Both of them would eventually move on to other people, but they occasionally kept in touch. As Affleck told the The New York Times in 2019: “She’s the real thing. I keep in touch periodically with her and have a lot of respect for her.”

Now that Lopez and Affleck are single again, reports are emerging that the two have been hanging out. Sources told E! News that they allegedly even spent a week together in Montana in May. “They were alone,” said one insider. “Just the two of them.”

“They have been in touch here and there throughout the years,” a second source told the outlet. “Ben reached out to her to see how she was doing and they had dinner together a few times within this last month. It’s natural between them and the chemistry is unreal. They picked up where they last left off and are enjoying each other’s company right now.”

Neither of them has commented on the reports, but E! News sources maintain that there are sparks in the air. Perhaps this really is the perfect time for them or maybe it’s not what it seems.
